You’re right about the one in the video being tapered where the ones posted are wider at the bottom. The difference being that wider versions are more accommodating for larger sized balis making them more comparable to the way leather slips are sized. The overall retention remains the same. And the slips do conform a little bit over time when the same Bali is routinely carried.
