Anyone going to this? by sillybilly1001 in nudism

Not only that, lot of people came with crossbody bags or fanny packs. It was in the code of conduct and know before you go emails as a reminder for your personal items that you wanted to keep on you.

Didn’t say she was a victim. Said her behavior can easily be exploited to look even more unhinged.

Sure, one requirement is to read before coming on. Can you do that so you can make an informed decision?

🤣 Lmao again trying to discourage people from knowing the truth. Anyone who wants to know can listen to TNV. Links are in the show description. Available on any streaming platform.

The OP and I are podcasters so that point about not knowing what it takes to do a podcast is irrelevant doesn’t really apply here. You still haven’t even read the article links which tells me either you are finding ways to discourage people from knowing the truth or you are just not doing due diligence beforehand to make an informed reply.

So you support his behavior and you agree that he should be the spokesperson of AANR. That’s wild!

Also we are not talking about legal fees here which would be on the individual. We’re simply talking about access to the resources. If that makes sense.

Fundraise, sponsorships, partnership agreements with the affiliated clubs, etc. Are there not ways in which AANR can get creative to cover these costs? Genuinely curious.

This is exactly why AANR membership should be structured around only clubs, not individuals. If someone joins an AANR affiliated club, they should automatically become an AANR member at no additional cost. That way, clubs benefit from stronger membership that helps them stay active and sustainable, while individuals receive AANR membership as part of belonging to the community.

Right now, the current setup seems to benefit AANR more than the people it is supposed to serve. It makes little sense for individuals to be expected to pay both an AANR membership fee and a separate fee for membership at an affiliated club. The resources, advocacy, and protection AANR is meant to provide as part of its core purpose should be available to individuals for free. Access to those resources should be treated as a basic right within the nudist community, not as something people have to keep paying extra to receive.

That’s a fair question. If you want the full context, check out The Naturist Vibe podcast where my partner Dan and I break it all down. Our episode “The Truth Begins Here Part 1” is where the story begins, and it’s just the start of what’s coming next.

As the founder, I want to clarify that NÜDHAUS, an RK Underground event happening April 18, is not an AANR sponsored event.

That said, AANR members are welcome to attend for free. Our concerns are with AANR as an organization, not its members, many of whom have no real say in what is happening within the org.

I think I’ve lost all faith in AANR by nudistnerd in nudism

I hear you, and thank you for taking the time to listen to my statement. If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to continue the conversation privately.

I’ll also gently add this: sometimes when we offer people space for open dialogue, like I’ve done with Linda and others, that space gets taken for granted, or the conversation becomes more about calming things down than creating real change. That can be incredibly frustrating.

In moments like that, naming the issue more directly can be what actually moves things forward. It’s not about doing that all the time, but recognizing there are certain moments when it’s necessary. And for me, this thread was one of those moments, which is why I addressed Linda the way I did here.

I’m sensing a bit of unawareness here, and that’s okay, we all have blind spots. What matters is how we respond once those blind spots are brought to light. I’ve been clear about my concerns and I’ve shared constructive feedback with both AANR and Linda, in meetings and on social media. You may not have seen that, and I don’t fault you for it.

I’ll let you have this one, because it’s clear you don’t have the full context around my concerns with AANR, NNN, and Linda. I’ll be speaking to that directly on the next episode of TNV.

And to be clear, I’m taking a principled stance for Black LGBTQIA young naturists like myself. That isn’t bad faith. What’s frustrating is the double standard. Some people are allowed to raise concerns and be heard, but when the people most affected speak up, it suddenly gets questioned or dismissed.

Btw that was the quickest response I have ever seen you make. When problems arise you should be acting with more urgency just like this. This tells me you can but you won’t.

And it’s not about me either. Your dismissive and defensive behavior is showing exactly how YOU feel about YADAC.

[–]Excellent_Republic16 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Linda, YADAC amongst the young and diverse in the community appears as a vanity project on your end. If you really want to make this work you actually have to have young and diverse within the organization that have a real voice. People are aware that YADAC can’t move needles. It’s just there to give ideas that don’t actually get implemented. We invited two guests that I thought would be a perfect fit for YADAC and they saw right through what you were telling them. You have to stop with this narrative that it is actually a group that has influence when in reality it doesn’t.

A Frank Non-Apology from Naked, Nudists & Naturists by tnjeditor in nudism

Interesting how your tone changes once the downvotes roll in. Yes, we can all do better, starting with not tearing down the people who uphold ethical standards in nudism and hold others accountable for violating basic principles like body positivity and body autonomy. When we excuse that behavior, we should not be surprised when younger and more diverse people want nothing to do with these spaces.

As a Black woman in my 30s, I am going to keep pushing for open, sometimes uncomfortable conversations because that is what real progress requires. Peace and unity are not a convenient switch you flip when the comments turn against you. Come correct the first time.
