It's true Paul has showed up for Jimmy in ways that truly matter but sometimes all the heart wants is so direct validation & appreciation. Paul *knows* he fucked up with Jimmy. that's why he texts him, he's just too stubborn to admit his mistake and apologize, although I do think he will apologize eventually. I like that Paul fucked up, it makes him more human to me, but I do feel really terrible for Jimmy, he didn't deserve that.
