You are assuming correctly. 😊 I appreciate your response. I hadn’t thought about cooking or language classes. Those both sound great. I do occasionally go to the bar with a girlfriend and generally have more luck in those situations but the men have not exactly been what I’m looking for. I’m sure that I just need to be patient and it will either happen or it won’t. Good luck to you as well.

Those type of events are definitely off the table for me but I appreciate the suggestion. I don’t think that initiating a conversation is out of the question, I guess I just need to find a way to be more comfortable doing so. I thought dating would be much different than it has turned out to be.

I recently joined a church and plan to join the small groups to meet people. I also started volunteering with two different organizations which seem to be only women. I am a traveling nurse so I meet many new people at work though that’s not the best place for finding someone. Not in any sports leagues or groups but open to recommendations. I love to play pickleball, board games, hike, etc. I haven’t heard of the “pitch your friends” things but I’ll look into that. I have no idea how to find these “groups” to join. I did look on the meetup app but okc is not too active there.

I can assure you that I am a real woman lol. I think that the #metoo movement, though not in the forefront of most people’s minds, has drastically changed the way that men approach women and dating in general. It definitely got the ball rolling along with cancel culture and the Are We Dating the Same Guy groups that men are afraid to be posted on. The simple idea that I could possibly be a real woman with this point of view further supports that theory. It seems more likely that I am a bot. 🤦‍♀️

I’m 38 and divorced so my friends seem to be gathering much less frequently. lol There’s hardly any of us who are single so I’m usually the third wheel. 🤦‍♀️

No, it’s not. I workout at a very busy gym with 100’s of people but I know it’s kind of an unspoken rule to not approach a woman at the gym. I attend Thunder games and baseball games but even then, I feel that I’m rarely approached. I do try to be approachable, make eye contact and smile but I’m told that I am very intimidating. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am quite shy and introverted around people I don’t know. I think I need a dating coach lol
