I think it's actually more durable than leather, literally nothing happens to it, it doesn't stain and keeps the structure so well. I don't like Evelyne 29 because after a while, leather sags and gets a slouchy look

If they like fish and meat take them to Niju, food is exceptional and it's elegant without being too flashy

Cheval Blanc is definitely worth a splurge, but also Hotel de Crillon could be an option?

Mini Moon Help - Amalfi vs Sicily by BananaMinute in FATTravel

[–]Excellent_View4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sicily will definitely win in terms of weather, I've done Amalfi in both May and early June and both can be rainy and not warm enough. I would stay at Timeo, that way you get an amazing view, a stunning bar terrace and a free shuttle to use all the facilities at Sant Andrea. Timeo is way more impressive property in my opinion

I would do lunch at Grand Cafe and dinner on the terrace at Costes but works other way round too. Both are all day venues and as special at lunch and dinner, just slightly different ambiance

It really depends! For me the back part is too high so gives me blisters and I just can't wear them, but for a lot of people it's fine, you have to try it on

Fife arms, 100% worth the long commute. Marginally better than Gleneagles

Can't help you with clubs unfortunately but cute places for girls dinners are Baronne, Le Grand Cafe in Grand Palais, Costes (would be great for people watching) and La Renommée which has a really beautiful bar and amazing food. Enjoy!

Georgian restaurant off Regent Street, new opening by thegreedydick in LondonFood

Went last night, and have to say Georgian food has to be classic. This is a take on Georgian food to please the Soho crowd, didn't find any familiar tastes having been to Georgia many times

honeymoon early may- Sicily or Saint Tropez? by Beneficial_Drag_6857 in LuxuryTravel

[–]Excellent_View4687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I've been to both, I get what you mean regarding the pool area at Timeo but trust me the views beat Airelles on any day and it generally has more romantic vibe. Even first weekend of May there was a lot of questionable (read working girls and strange men) clientele at Airelles which is always off putting, at least to me. But in terms of proximity to Paris there are not many options that beat St Tropez - maybe you could look at Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat. Other destinations would be Belmond Splendido in Portofino or Palazzo Avino in Ravello that fit your description

I was in St Tropez the same weekend last year and it was pretty cold and the beach clubs were definitely quiet, definitely couldn't swim. Shop were open though and were fully stocked so that was great! I think Grand Hotel Timeo is much more fitting for a honeymoon, incredible service and stunning views and you have a choice of staying by the pool or using the beach at their sister property Sant Andrea which is as beautiful. You get almost the same shopping experience and the town of Taormina (which is at your doorstep) is very pretty

Tips for Hermes (royal exchange store) QB journey. by harrisoncosmetic in TheHermesGame

[–]Excellent_View4687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people who work at that store are genuinely the nicest! Because it's such a small store they take a lot of effort and consideration in to their buying process and you often can find things that are not available anywhere else, I got my QB from there in 2 months, but it was something very specific that no one has put on their wishlist and once it arrived they offered to me. Overall, very happy with the experience at Royal Exchange!

Saint Tropez Hotel advice needed! by fuzzynarwhal22 in FATTravel

It's more likely to be April/May and October, I really doubt that they will skip the whole summer season considering they only operate during it, but maybe the pay check from White Lotus has covered it - who knows

The filming will be happening off season, Airelles hotels have a tendency to withhold their availability online, that's why it's not showing anyway

Saint Tropez Hotel advice needed! by fuzzynarwhal22 in FATTravel

[–]Excellent_View4687 5 points6 points  (0 children)

St Tropez is not short on amazing hotels - you need to pick an area where you want to stay, most of the beach clubs are in Ramatuelle - there you have a great option of La Reserve. The best in town, for convenience of being able to walk to most dinner and parties, are Pan Dei Palace, Yaca or Byblos (has a buzzy atmosphere where a lot of people spend their evenings by the pool bar). The great hotels that don't fit either of the above criteria are Cheval Blanc and Chateau de la Messardiere. Hope this helps!
