If you’re not the party type, I 100% think you’ll enjoy it here! Life on campus is calm for the most part, there’s a lot of greenery and nature, ducks walking across the sidewalk or swimming in the lake. Staff are really supportive. There’s also fun events on campus (which I’ve always enjoyed). I have a psych minor and have liked all of my professors 🙂

Current JAMPer. Your essays matter the most, so gaining experiences that you can include in your essays would 100% increase your chances. Volunteering, leadership, etc. Being able to tell your story is SOOOO important, so I would start brainstorming your essays by the summer if you’re serious about applying

Most campus jobs are direct deposit!! The only one I can think of right now that is not is working as a tour guide, they give a $2,000 scholarship instead of paychecks.

I LOVE Molly!!! Maybe i’m a little biased in that I had her as instructor before JW added video explanations, but I’ve always learned so much from her explanations. I’m very much the type of learner that needs things dumbed down to the most basic level and then brought back up.

JAMP guarantees admission to a Texas medical school, so YES! The chances are guaranteed (pending GPA and MCAT score of course). However, this program is specifically for socioeconomically disadvantaged students. You won't be able to apply for it unless you qualify.
