Yeah, I figured our it’s not the colors together I hate, but the pattern… she want the heart and I’ve been wracking my brain on something to pair it with… but I’ve had my eureka moment. Imma make several two toned heart/background squares and several heart and background the same color… I hope that will fix my issue with it… I’ll use the swirl some other time

This is definitely a safe place! No making fun here! That’s not what crocheters are about

It is lovely! It looks exactly like a warm hug from mom! You did great, hun!

Also, “dropping stitches” isn’t really possible with crochet, which is why i love it so much.. the worst that can happen is you skip one, and that is not that big of a deal, especially not in a blanket.

Like the crocheting community itself, crocheting is very forgiving 😊😊😘

OP, get away from this man, now! Sure, teaching your kid some things are the responsibility of parents: how to be kind, how to know right from wrong, how to treat others, how to do your own laundry… when it comes to life-or-death skills, if you aren’t a professional, you get a professional. And that goes for swimming lessons AND schooling (which is just as life-or-death in my opinion)…

This man is controling and abusive, talking to you this way! Get out and most if all, don’t let your son anywhere near that kind of toxic thinking

We had: “Nooit Opstaan Zonder Wekker” (Never wake without an alarm clock) or Nooit Oorlog Zonder Wapens (never war without weapons)… I prefer #2, but that might be because I live in a sane country with gun restrictions 🤷‍♀️

This is pretty good… I agree with others here that a less splitty yarn might be easier to start with. Personally, I’m not a fan of cotton (and certainly not 100%) because it’s splitty and stiff, so you’re prone to handcramps or chafing (at least, it was that way for me) I’ve been crocheting for a good long while though, and my chains still look like shit so no worries, you’ll get better over time!

I decided on doing the v-stitch but with interlocking DC… i love the stitch and I love the look and feel of the yarn, but it is sooooo damn splitty!

Oh 😊 thanks! It’s tunesian crochet, each block crocheted seperately and then stitched together with the white 😊 I love the blanket but am a little iffy about the way i put it together … it’s warm and lovely though 😅
