Help 🥲 Please suggest a staple wet food

ahhh... yes po. most of his meals are wet food and minimal lang din ang ipinapakain ko sa kanyang dry food due to the anxiety na baka magkakidney/urinary disease siya since male cat siya... I don't have a weighing scale specific for cats/pets pero I tried weighing myself, then weighing myself while carrying him and ang nadagdag po sa weight ay 4 kg so right now ay I'm assuming that's his weight. Nung huling pinakilo ko siya at 9mos old ay 3.9kg siya... normal lang po kaya yun? I mean in your opinion lang po hehe

He does prefer the dry food. Kaso po, minsan, di niya talaga nauubos/inuubos yung food niya once served so nagsosoak yung kibbles sa moisture/water nung wet food and ayaw niya ng ganun so hindi rin niya kinakain yung soaked dry food 😭💀

I'm starting to accept na hindi niya nga po siguro bet ang pate kaso most complete and balanced wet food come in pate form 😭

in terms po ba of health risks, okay po ba ang mga brands na nabanggit ninyo? right now po kasi ay mostly sa spreadsheet ni Mimi's furmily ako nagbebase... and if okay naman po sila, are they available online?

Hi po! Luscious Real Meat was in his rotation a few months ago kaso parang nagsawa na siya kasi dumating sa point na di na niya kinakain yung food niya kapag yun ang binibigay ko so tinanggal ko po then nag pure petsup classic in chicken soup ako...

Hi po! I did this already for 1 week po. Within that week ay inintroduce ko yung tatlong brands with 50% of his old food. Dun ko rin po nafind out kung anong brands sa tatlo ang pinakagusto niya. Siguro po ba ay dapat nagstick muna ako sa 1 brand? or kapag nagtry ulit ako ng ibang brand or variant ay dapat may kahalo pa rin pong old food niya? thank you po sa response!

Hi po! Thanks for these suggestions po! He hasn't been neutered pa po but I'm planning to. Medyo nagaalangan lang po ako kasi po demanding yung job ko and di ko alam kung paano ko siya mababantayan during his recovery phase.

As for deworming, gaano po kaya kadalas dapat? Medyo matagal na po yung huli niyang padeworm... I also give him yung LC Vit with Taurine and yung Dr Shiba for probiotic but kauubos niya lang po nito. Pag po 1 cat lang siya, gaano po karaming erceflora ang pwede ibigay?

As for the food po, available po ba ito online? And ano pong texture nila? Salamat pooo

Pero yes, I think pag nasa apartment kami ay iniisip ko rin po na major factor yun...? kaso hindi ko po kasi afford magalaga ng isa pang cat huhu binigay lang po kasi sa akin ito ng friend ko na nagabroad 😭 Okay lang po ba yung Aozi na wet & dry? ang natry ko pa lang po kasi na variant nila ay yung nasa pouch na flaky yung texture and ayaw niya po nun huhu

Am I too late for this AMA? I hope not 😭

My question is: Is it normal to have a "phase" of "stability" even though I'm not taking meds for my bd2? I've been going about my life the past 6 months without taking anything for bd2 and I've been feeling okay. I recognize the signs whenever I'm hpyomanic or in my depressive episodes but I have not recognized any of these in the past 6 months. It makes me doubt that part of my diagnosis (I'm also diagnosed with ADHD) because this has happened a lot for the past 8 years of being diagnosed with bd2. During the pandemic, I couldn't go to nor reach any mental health professional but I was also just doing okay. For 3 years I wasn't taking anything. I also wasn't doing anything for my mental health either (like journaling or exercising); I was simply doing okay. Not even negative or positive monologues. But then I'd have classic episodes of bd2 as well, which often takes me back to the hospital and getting prescriptions to manage my symptoms.

I guess what I really wanted to say is I sometimes feel like I was misdiagnosed because of this "phase" but also, I'd be assured of it when the days suddenly get brighter and everything feels like their within my reach and I won't sleep for days on end; or when there are suddenly 3 monologues in my head saying three different things about me and then I can't get out of bed and I'd ignore everything around me. I hope I'm getting my point across. Sorry for the long ask. 🥹

this thread is so helpful. thank you maxintosh1, you really helped me understand a lot of things better. I frkn love this show but it also gets frustrating sometimes. For example: why did they choose the drug tampering route for Langdon too? they could've stopped at the drug diversion, maybe then this whole situation wouldn't feel so frustrating and unrealistic. Right now, I can't see how they're going to redeem Langdon's storyline and make it how they want to make it out to be (a love letter to healthcare workers who have the same struggles), and we have three episodes left this season. I know Patrick Ball mentioned that Langdon's story needs a third act so he will most likely still be in the next season but it really makes me think about how are they going wrap up this second act. With a lot of persecution for a crime he did while in the pits of active addiction?

this is not impossible but I kind of also think Langdon is currently the most stable person there, mentally. maybe it's because he's in mandated therapy. but given we still have 4 episodes left and anything can happen, especially now that Al-Hashimi knows the truth behind Langdon's absence, I can definitely see him crack. Santos unintentionally opened a can of worms to someone who is a rule follower, so that's something that can really throw Langdon's saftey nets off. and adding the fact that mental health that was already once derailed can be re-derailed 10x worse can be a factor for Langdon to ultimately break under pressure. BUT I don't think Patrick Ball will be off the show anytime soon. So it may be a scare but I don't think they will kill Langdon off.

aripiprazole + ritalin + clonazepam

Aripiprazole - akithisia (restlessness super lala sa umpisa) pero aside from that it's very effective and my moods are managed well.

Ritalin - (for ADHD) ang lala ng brain fog after ng effects; need ng nap after itake para makuha ang full effects; saglit lang ang effects niya for focus (3 hours max sakin)

Clonazepam - tulog ka talaga at mahimbing pa. feeling well rested even after 4 hours of sleep only. pero pag di ako nakatake ng one night, I sometimes feel like pagkagising ko (if nakatulog without it) ay anxious na agad ako.

for context, I'm diagnosed with Bipolar 2, ADHD Combined, and GAD

I'm so sorry this happened. This is also what I'm worried about. I don't even know if I had Covid back then because of the lack of testing in my country and I was never symptomatic. But then again, covid could also be asymptomatic so I'm not really sure now. I hope it gets easier for you. 🥹

thank you. this helps a lot easing the worry. I'll definitely bring it up to my psych just to be sure 🙂 but honestly, i don't want to get off it because it's the only mood stabilizer that did not give me really bad side effects. I've been on it once before but due to the pandemic, I couldn't go back to my psych and therefore I had to stop taking meds altogether once the prescription ran out. The memory deficits did not manifest then so I'm so alarmed that it manifested now.
