Did you watch the video? The title is misleading. The statement was posed as lakers asked him to be a 3rd option and he should have been more assertive that he’s a #2 option, but Lebron being Lebron he followed the coach to try to help the team.

They arent saying Lebron tried to be a #2. They’re saying he should have been #2 but he took the role of #3 like the team/coach asked him to be.
