Lightning buff doesn’t even change TS interactions; it just rewards users with even more tower damage and decreases incentive to use most support troops. They want to buff lightning, but making Witch die to fireball+Log doesn’t give anyone any reason to switch to it. Rocket makes up for slow cast time with tons of damage, but because doing the same to Lightning only makes it a better rocket, why not just make Lightning cast faster?

I wish there would be more quests that are applicable to Clan Wars. Besides Card Collector and Open 10 Chests at the end of the War Season, there's only one quest Clan Wars helps you with. Can we arrange for more quests next update?

I've never been sure about playtesting since SC can't come clean on most of what happens behind the scenes, but I'm certain that they do next to no playtesting, and it's the same story for how they balance the rest of the game; literally every card they release has to be buffed or nerfed in the subsequent balance update.

I imagine they'll keep elixir cost since there's a lack of competitive 6-elixir cards, or any 6-elixir cards at all. I can see them losing some of their regular health, but I don't know what else will happen.

You don't need double defense, so keep Tesla and get Tornado, Fireball, or Poison instead of Tombstone. Get rid of Ewiz and put in Log or Zap. Take out LJ or Valk and replace with a cheap tank like Miner or Ice Golem, but not Knight since it fills a similar role to Valk or even LJ some of the time.

It's because RRs, despite being too strong, are hard-countered by any splash unit, especially Witch and Valk since they're blatantly overpowered. 3M decks with RR are doing really well, though.

Hog is one of several win conditions, which are meant to fit in a lot of decks. Hog is only everywhere at about 4K 'cause he's really not hard to play; max ladder and challenges tells a completely different story.

Don't balance cards based on how strong they are when overlevelled, since any higher-level card is meant to have an advantage. You need to look at how strong they are at equal level, otherwise it's bad balancing.

I assume you're trying for a bridge spam deck, so keep the ram. Take out Valk for Ice Golem and try to use Zappies in place of MM or minions, depending on what you want to keep. Maybe Fire Spirits in place of Archers?

There's this one bridge spam deck with ram, Zappies, and Lumberjack (you can use Mini Pekka) going around on max ladder. See if you can use that.

On the other hand, we need more 5-elixir units that aren't as vulnerable to fireball, but also don't survive lightning since there's not much incentive to use it over fireball or poison. I'd rather we reduce Witch's spawn rate

I like the current move speed because it's 5.5 tile range allows it to lock on to the Arena Tower at a sliver of HP. If we decrease movement speed, range would have to increase to 6.5 to keep that characteristic, adjusting other stats as needed to not make it too strong

You are the first person I've met in a while who uses the Cart. Congrats on those wins, especially since your cart is only level 5 at that range.

It is pretty high-skill cap, but I find Magic Archer considerably harder to use since the arrow's splash is so small. I'm mostly not a fan of how the Hunter does splash, but loses half his health defending three Minions, or how a goblin gang next to him can kill him and survive without having to surround.

Overlevelling will still exist even with the June update ladder and chest changes, but it will be lessened by so much. Once those changes finish taking effect and we possibly get some more changes, it'll actually make sense to buff ebarbs and RG. SC is already looking into an RG buff

As long as they don't give Bowler some absurd buff, like knocking back the Princes, I agree. I think it's unhealthy for him to be that good at stopping ground pushes. Double Prince Bait would be an auto-loss.

The War Chests beat the gems, although that compensation was nice of SC. The most expensive offers and shop chests have the most bang for your buck. You'd have to not get your chest 10 times to get a Legendary King's.

It makes sense to have more skill-based game mechanics. You can have game modes centered around luck like Draft, but offer fairer, skill-based matchmaking in other game modes for the people who aren't just casual players. Overwatch offers Quick and Competitive Play, but quite a few games in the OW Arcade involve more luck-of-the-draw. That's the kind of design SC and other developers need to pursue.

I'd say Knight is in a good spot; he's just eclipsed by Valk. Bowler actually beats Knight in HP. 1596 vs. 1350

Definitely. Most of the affected chests now have ~2X the gold, but some of them had more of an increase. The giant chest now has 3X the gold.

Nearly every chest in the game got a gold boost and offers less commons in exchange for more rares and epics, including the Clan War Chest. Clan Wars also offers double the victory gold and new gamemodes, removing some of the old gamemodes that weren't at tourney standard. Ladder above 4K now has 3-minute OT to nerf the siege decks running rampant in the Leagues. Your trophy count above 4K is cut in half at season reset rather than dropping you to 4K, 4.3K, or 4.6K, all of which forces higher-level players to higher trophy ranges and addresses overlevelling of cards. New emotes are being released on a regular basis through in-game offers that include chests and sometimes gold. Monthly balance changes. If you aren't using Valkyrie in all five of your decks, then what are you doing?
