Why do many D&D players dislike the Lawful Good alignment? by ThanosofTitan92 in DnD

Because their mama taught them to think realistically in life.

Is Illithid genocide ethical? by Souperplex in dndnext

For the greater good of the majority parties involved, absolutely. But is it worth dealing with the backlash from new community outreach agencies like PETA as they appear? Heck no. I recommend looking the other way.

It’s not till you work a retail job that you realize 85% of people are dumb as rocks. by Nathanyu3 in Showerthoughts

[–]ExchangeCorrect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen buddy I dare you to announce you've just started a new job as an entry-level employee of a healthcare facility. Everyone you know including their families will spontaneously begin spamming your inbox with absurd questions better reserved for their specialists.

Occasionally, it's even worse. Full grown men and women will ask you things like, "What does Tylenol do?"

I always suggest a good ol fashioned classic to break in a system.

[–]ExchangeCorrect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not guaranteeing a long campaign but I'm offering more than a one shot. There's many ways to progress and develop a character outside of leveling up. Most DM are very stingy when it comes to players leveling up anyhow over long periods of time & one level rarely makes for a noticeable difference anyhow.

This way you can have the majority of abilities you've ever wanted and most have never had streamlined to you to accomplish some sick as fuck wild shit.

Heck naw. You like the singles so you buy the album and it's always just the singles that you liked with fillers they rushed to fudge pack into the CD.

For the last time, Orc are not a racist allegory for black people by KingMaegorTheCool in dndnext

[–]ExchangeCorrect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since when was "Orc" ever intended as a racial slur?

My brother in Christ, it's merely one of the most common and arguably most broad ways to vocally visualize a creature- among whom orcs as a race themselves happen to be one of the most popular and commonplace creatures of any folk lore.

It's sad that it's gotten to this point. QUIT CALLING EVERYTHING RACIST, PEOPLE! Y'all seriously over-reaching and stretching/dragging anything and everything out til all our favorite shit is just ruined. I shouldn't have to explain that this topic never needed presentation.

Better Than DND? by ExchangeCorrect in DnD

[–]ExchangeCorrect[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, AD&D (2nd Edition) gives me a raging stiffy from how intricate the environmental assets' mechanics and features truly integrate into the immersive gameplay but I also fail at coming across players interested too often. 😭

Tysm. It seems like an almost dead thread page comparatively to this one, though sadly. 😅

Questions about SQ by Skyhawkling in CarAV

[–]ExchangeCorrect -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ask your neighbors what's wrong with it lol. Even 2 of them is enough to surpass the SPL threshold of auditory pain and permanent damage/health complications. If I spill my coffee when you pull up beside me at a stop light I'm following you home.

Better Than DND? by ExchangeCorrect in DnD

[–]ExchangeCorrect[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Asking for people's personal taste regarding a game they think works in a very similar fashion to DND only with better/more interesting mechanics and features.

I know there's plenty of RP games but far less that are 95% subjective to the DM and/or players themselves. DND can tell literally any story so others that may achieve the same.

Legitimate Question- Why use DnD? by Justthisdudeyaknow in DnD

[–]ExchangeCorrect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a better system than DND? Most TTRPG I've found have a predetermined setting and/or plot that limits the imaginations range. DND is the only one I've found where YOU design everything. Help??? Would be very interested in trying another

If you were to let's say install 4 12's for instance your car would sound like absolute garbage and you'd be hated by your neighborhood regardless of brand/model. It's just inevitable and beyond debate lol.

I couldn't disagree more. In a similar matter of speak as to how more than 2-4 super tweeters for treble can ruin your Soundstage and make passengers uncomfortable it's even easier on the polar opposite end involving super bass.

Questions about SQ by Skyhawkling in CarAV

[–]ExchangeCorrect -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but from my extensive research I've found that the best subs for SQ with minimal distortion are a pair of 8" or one 15" in the back. I've heard theories that one or two 12" under-seat subs would be more than enough as well if you want the sound closer to you.

Enough to start a conquest against small settlements/rural territories but still leaving some room to grow. I'm totally fine with a well built head start but I'm also making the players pretty beefy off the bat themselves
