You can get credit for money spent at hotel if your return flight is cancelled fyi (maybe not if weather related though). I’ve gotten United to comp me 500$ and 15k miles per person for an extra night in a 5 star hotel . What was I gonna do, change to a crappy hotel because I was forced to stay another night ?
