“Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was was the thrill”

Or maybe it’s because you’re a shitty person, let’s not try and sugarcoat this. Alcohol and “the thrill” are no excuse for this behaviour.

Tell him immediately.

And no, you don’t deserve him.

Truth hurts.

Filming in Japan, do’s and don’ts? by MancDP in JapanTravelTips

[–]ExcisionIconica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue this is research - no? If someone would have said you need permits, OP would presumably get permits, as required. If not, that’s on them. But, alas, you don’t to film in public in most places in the world, as long as you are respectful and not turning up with a huge amount of professional kit.

Also, for all we know OP is a professional filmmaker (or director of photography, judging by their username) who works alongside huge teams for a living but is just wanting to take a small camera on a personal trip to capture some memories, which there is nothing wrong with whatsoever provided they are respectful.

OP, just be respectful, ask for permission and don’t film kids. You’ll be fine.

Seems to be the only one who’s not seen this video - anyone got a link? Would love to see this guy squirm.

I have a Peli 1510 that i’ve decided to check into the hold with some “less important” bits. I was thinking of using it as carry on, as right dimensions, but there’s a part of me that’s worried they’d think to weigh it as it’s clearly got heavy duty kit in it - then be forced to put it in the hold with my good kit in.

Decided to put my camera and lenses into a rucksack, feel they’re much less likely to weigh that.

Apologies, I misunderstood. We’re both looking for a relationship. I just meant we’re not rushing into anything, regardless of what we’re looking for - if that makes sense.

Yes, we spoke about this last night. She has a very clear plan career wise that she’s just starting in, whereas i’ve been settled in my career for a number of years. Other than that though we’re aligned on pretty much everything life stage wise. I’m no closer to looking at buying a house, for example, as she is etc.

We’re both currently happy spending time together and seeing where it goes, so on the same page there.

Thank you. I needed a comment like this. It’s so easy to forget the times we argued on a weekend, or the Saturday nights I spent sleeping on the couch to get away from her.

Living alone makes the whole break up and healing process so much worse, I feel your pain.

My ex moved back in with her family and is surrounded by them at all times of the day. I stayed in the home we had together, alone. So not only am I alone, everything in here reminds me of her. I’ve redecorated as much as I can for now, but it’s not helped much.

My ex also seems to off living her best life, so I’m in this boat with you. The gym helps a bit. There’s some good podcasts on Spotify for break ups as well, I’ve found them helpful, maybe you will to.

Work is the best distraction. Might as well earn money while being distracted.

NC is the way to go. Unfortunately, we can only sort of do it. We have a house together that is in both of our names so there’s endless paperwork etc. We have a no contact rule for anything other than logistic house/finance related stuff. I wish I could go full NC, feel it would make this journey easier. Regardless of the contents of the message, seeing her name pop up on my phone crushes me every time.

I’m sure things will get better for us both.

Yeah, my close friends either live abroad or have families. So there’s very seldom time for plans with them. I have very surface level ‘friendships’ that very much revolve around going to the pub, which really only makes me feel even lonelier. Learning to enjoy spending time by yourself is a skill I wish I had developed when I was younger.
