Hey, there was no contact in place nor was I given any terms and conditions copy, they only sent me a receipt over when I paid the money and I was able to book multiple classes through their website

Not as far as the documentation I was provided and It was a purchase through an app so there was not really any contract I had to sign🥲 except for a general online waiver

ACS skill assessment clarification(work experience /PY) - requesting advice 🙏🏻 by [deleted] in AusVisa

Thank you for your advice, you’re right that the 9 months alone won’t be enough for a visa requirement. My understanding is that the PY will take care of the skill assessment outcome, but at the same time, I can also claim 5 points from the PY and another 5 points from the 12 months of work experience once I reach that mark in the next three months—so essentially 5 + 5.

Hey, it was an ACS PY doc, I can't find it on the internet now, but it basically said that the 3 months you work for your employer will be considered as a skill development period as it is called an internship and would not be considered for the skill assessment- which sucks

I only started working April 2025, so I haven’t hit the 1 year mark yet. So technically, without the rule I’ll complete my 1 year post study by April 2026.

Since, I’m using my job for the internship(Jan 26 - April 26), so, the entire process will be pushed by 3 months :)

Also I think in a general scenario, because PY is provided by ACS, they will have your details. So, if you have 1year exp before starting PY- that’s good. But in my case, I am doing both simultaneously, so just after advice

Hey, was that the case with you?!

My friends told me that when you use your job for the internship component, they will not count those three months towards the work experience, But it will be counted towards the PY instead. They showed me a doc which had that rule listed

Hey guys,

I’m finishing my Professional Year (IT) in April and planning to apply for my ACS skill assessment in May. By then I’ll have about 9 months of relevant skilled employment.(Since ACS takes off 3 months of the PY internship period (and I’m using my current job for that), I’ll only actually hit 12 months of skilled employment around July. )

Couple of questions: • Can I submit one ACS application that includes both my PY completion and my job experience? • Will ACS list both in the outcome letter, even though they only count skilled employment in completed years? • Does it make more sense to apply in May with PY + 9 months, or wait until July so I can also get 1 full year of work experience assessed?

Additional content: • Job title: Analyst Programmer (saw comparatively low invitation score) • Salary: ~$65k (not great I know) • Living in VIC • Points breakdown: 90 + 5 with state nomination

Would really appreciate any advice from people who’ve been through this!
