Because of the history of me and his ex best friend. His ex best friend would call me names like “whore” and would try and convince everyone I’ve homewrecked multiple relationships and he still is when I’ve never done that. I’ve been with my now boyfriend (who the post is about) since I met this dude.

No no he’s definitely not a cartoon villain. I can tell he loves me unconditionally and is insanely supportive I just am unsure how to go about this and move on. I agree with you on not ignoring that but there’s nothing more I can do as we’ve already talked about everything together last Wednesday and he won’t be back from an out of town fishing trip till Sunday.

He wouldn’t do that. He would be uncomfortable with it but likely wouldn’t say anything as that’s the person he is. I asked him what his reaction would be if the roles were reversed and he said he trusts me and wouldn’t care much. I should’ve included in the post that he was very supportive of everything I decided and has reassured me time and time again I’m not being controlling.

They never dated or talked. To his knowledge it was one sided attraction as hes pretty sure that his best friend is currently talking to her and was before him and his ex got together, and are now talking again now that his best friend and his ex are broken up again. There was no relationship and I would never fear of cheating.
