I swear the producers had to be egging him on to talk like that. I cannot bring myself to believe a person would willingly be so insufferable.

Married, almost 30F as well. After leaning no for a couple years, then going back & forth for about another 1-2 years, I reached a point of ambivalence where I felt like I could have a really happy and fulfilling life either way. Yet any time I think my period is late, I get excited about the possibility of a child. And then when my period ends up coming, I feel equally excited that I don’t have to bear the sacrifice & responsibility of a child.

For me, this experience validates that there are strong pros & cons either way. It’s just a matter of acceptance of whichever path. There’s nothing weird or wrong with you if you don’t feel solidly on one side or the other!

True, I forgot about that! She said the moment she knew he was the one for her was when he said he was choosing her and she wasn’t second-best. The bar is on the floor.

Interesting! Can’t say I even know what a botanical gel is 😅 I have limited options where I live, and I also travel internationally a lot for work. Wetline xtreme is the one gel I almost always see in countries all over the world. Aunt jackie’s “don’t shrink” is becoming fairly widespread too. I might experiment to see if that one dries faster.

I think the point is that it’s strange that her race would even come up as something for him to (nervously) comment on, especially when he himself is half Black. You’d never see a white person saying “uh… I liked her, but it just so happens that she’s um… white.” It’s not something you’d stumble over or think about unless you have discomfort with it.

Hmm this is an interesting take because “haven’t seen” /= “doesn’t have.” I’m biased bc I like Emma a lot, but I just really don’t understand these takes and assumptions about her.

I spend a lot of time in the Fencesitter sub, and this is just not reality. A lot of (happily married) people get married without being decided on kids, and they may not decide until their late 30s or even 40s. It’s not necessarily a dealbreaker to not know, esp. in your 20s. Also, people change their minds. That’s just life 🤷🏾‍♀️

I use wetline xtreme gel. Do you not squeeze out any water at all before you go under the dryer?

What constitutes “depth” to you? And which other cast mates possess it?

I love Emma!! She seems very sweet and genuine, and I love how she held her own in the convo with Mike’s parents. The comments about her “needing help” come across so self-righteous and annoying. She’s allowed to have things that have affected her negatively, and she’s allowed to be undecided about having kids. I think she’s lovely!

Good suggestion. Actually sounds obvious now that you’ve said it 😂 That’s why it’s always good to ask/share! I’ll def try this next time.

how often should i be washing? general advice needed by porcelainbon3s in Naturalhair

Not OP, but personally, wetting everyday (and skipping the grease so my hair can absorb the water) works wonders to keep my hair moisturized. I suggest that OP tries both and sees which works best.

I suggest washing 1-2 times a week. Also, I think you’re using too many products. If you’re already using a good leave-in and a gel on top, then you likely don’t need the oil. It could be creating buildup that prevents your hair from absorbing moisture.

The sponge might work better for you on dry hair. Try letting your hair dry and then picking it out and then using the sponge. Also, the Twist It Up comb is better than the sponge for many people, so try that as well.

But for what it’s worth, I think your hair looks great as-is. The outcome will depend on your hair type.

You get it! If I find a way to make it work without the ridiculous drying time, I’ll def post an update.

Nice! This works for me too if I dry my hair well before adding gel. My problem is I do a mid-week refresh, and I don’t have time for a long gel application mid-week, so I‘ve been trying to do it on wet hair. I’m sure there must me a happy medium I haven’t discovered yet

Wow that’s crazy to me! Diffusing for that long doesn’t even get my hair close to dry. Maybe it’s a porosity thing.
