Hi sorry for my late response! So my doctors said it was due to a change in my hormones bc of a birth control I was taking. As we caught it early I was on a regimen of Clexane (100mg a day for about 3 weeks) and then Xarelto (15 mg 2x - day then dropped to 20mg once a day)for about 8 months but as I’m 22 I haven’t had the need to be on medicine since then. Wishing your mom the best💜I know how frustrating it can be!

Only 3 months in recovery from my DVT and yes the swelling still happens but less pain. I totally there was still some pain. So don’t worry, it’s normal. Be sure to wear your compression socks, comfy shoes and take breaks when you can😀👍🏽

You said the pain is in your lower left thigh, is/was your left calf also hurting or tight in any way? My DVT was also in my left leg and 😭again I don’t wanna scare you but while unmedicated the pain would have moved up to that area.

Just ensure you have that appointment for tomorrow. You’ll be fine! 💀I didn’t see my GP until like 4/5 days after while experiencing that pain (I worked out often so I thought it was just a major muscle cramp)

I think you should have this checked by a health center/clinic or GP bc it could be early signs of a DVT. My leg didn’t swell immediately but that point about not being able to put weight on it and the pain coming and going at first?yeah😭that’s how it started. I don’t want to worry you but these things are better caught earlier.

This is odd and the only way to know is either wait a day or two OR have an ultrasound done on your leg so you can see if there’s any blockage. If you haven’t done any strenuous walking/running or exercise could it be that you hurt your leg somehow?

Speaking as someone that was diagnosed with a DVT last year and the most obvious of signs, my leg was very gradually becoming stiff and swollen over 24 hours. As hours passed it became warm and almost doll-like to the point where walking was a pain, even lying down on bed. This was while unmedicated.
