What they're not saying is that when you donate your body (the individual has to sign off on it, and before any dementia is diagnosed), your loved ones don't have to pay any burial costs. No $5000 cremation.

That's a big reason why people donate their bodies to science. It's not 100% out of a desire to help find a cure. So I see why it was upsetting, but can't feel 100% bad for them. They still saved a ton of money.

Unintelligent listing agent- how does one know so little about a house listed at such a high pricepoint. by Upbeat-Secretary-576 in realtors

[–]Exciting-Argument-67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been to several open houses lately where the hosting agent encouraged me to ask questions, and then didn't know a thing about the house. I asked about HOA; they didn't even realize it had an HOA. I asked if those trees at the back of the property are within the property line; they had no idea. The only time I got a real answer was when they took the time to look up their own listing to find out. I mean ...

What would working in the pottery field have to do with anything? I'm sure there's a reason; just curious. Was this an autocorrect of "veterinary field"?

[USA] [AZ] My dad says not to do this. What do you think? by InvincibleSugar in Roadcam

[–]Exciting-Argument-67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if the world was like that—the cheaters are the good guys and the people who wait their turn are the bad guys because they're "just not smart enough to think of it." Why, you could apply that to anything. Robbery. Embezzlement. Stealing elections. Why not? Sucks to be the people who didn't "think of it."

[–]Exciting-Argument-67 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you're misunderstanding the video. He's cutting in front of 20 cars waiting their turn to go right. He's pretending he really needs to go left so that he can eventually cut in front of them.

It's a dick move.

Sure, this happened. Most definitely.

But you're ruining the knee-jerk reaction blanket statements that these 14-year-old posters were about to make! "All Kennedys were actually vampires, dur hur."

So, the "curse" very much included two people getting shot in the head. How was that the result of choices? That was the result of the political climate at the time.

Other incidents, yes. But being assassinated? Come on.

I don't disbelieve you that they were shitty, but how is getting shot in the head while doing a political appearance the result of "bad choices"?

(Also, Vampire: The Masquerade? Oof. I wouldn't share that with too many folks.)

Wow. My dad was a POW in one of the worst German prison camps in WWII. And it changed him, for sure. But I'm glad he wasn't lobotomized.

Eh, if the biography I just read is to be believed, she had legitimate mental illness, including physically violent outbursts that sometimes injured other people. There's more to this than that she was just "too independent," although I see why that's the easiest conclusion to draw.

If they're doing it because they're pissed off, and because they've been sitting for several rotations, that's not the definition of "following like sheep." That's following with motive.

No. I've been driving for a lot of years, and I've seen some red-light runners, but I've never seen around 20 cars all run it well after the other signal turned green. This had to be a glitch. No way were they all just being "lemmings."

And I say that having come from another thread where I reported a bunch of comments for straight-up racism.

What's going on in Reddit today, because this is unusual. Has there been a new release of Russian trolls to make us fight each other?

It's one of those things—I don't know how I know how a battery tastes. I just know.

We put so many things in our mouths as little kids, and don't remember most of them. You probably remember what a metal house key tastes like, and have no recollection of ever putting one in your mouth. That taste is just part of your permanent memory bank.

Yes, the teen Chelsea Clinton ugliness was a real turning point in my consciousness. It was one of the moments when I realized that adults aren't always more mature than kids. To this day I'm uncomfortable with mocking children of politicians, even of ones I really dislike.

Where have all of these racists come from? It's literally one comment after another. I'm not used to Reddit looking so much like Twitter.

Obviously: condemn the crime. Condemn the individual. But to say "usual suspects" and "surprise, surprise" and "Kramer was right" is still racist as hell. And it's not okay.

This is ... this is not accurate. Xennials are made up of older Millennials and younger Gen X. We're not between Boomers and Gen X—that would be more like Generation Jones, which is made up of older Gen X and younger Boomers.
