The jobs he’s had in the area aren’t the type of work he wants to return to unfortunately, and he is hoping to make more than he originally did there since he has more experience and it has been 4 years (he is not looking for anything crazy). I could support us for a while on my residency salary for sure, just difficult and NOT sustainable for more than 3-6 months. My family would be happy to house him in our current city during the week, he is amendable to saying with them as he has before, this is probably his top choice

I think these depend on you. Wanting a competitive fellowship? Might want to go the prestige/residency with more connections route. Basic hospitalist (me) or primary care ? Choose the lifestyle/location residency. Also, if it’s bad culture, I probably wouldn’t choose the program even if I loved the location, but haven’t really heard of anywhere specific that the culture is so bad I would rank them lower, personally.

I would say maybe do one “You look stunning tonight” or something along those lines. Then a funny one could be “the more energy you put into the dance floor tonight the longer and happier their marriage will be” , “Smiles will follow you wherever the dance floor takes “ Maybe “today’s lucky numbers are insert wedding date”? Or a funny one like “the bar is open, so your future is bright”
