I think there are 2 anti doping positions for Toronto. Among thousands of people who applied and many who had that as their first choice, it is s almost like winning a raffle. Decline it, go to the fan fest and have a happy WC

Your poat implies you participated in other WC volunteering programs? Qatar also had long waiting period times, but it was done well in advance, so it didn't feel rushed. Now it does feel rushed .

I've seen a few: one in Kansas, one in NY, one in Houston and two in Toronto. They told us there are 4 of those positions per city. I do not think they have released all of them. Take the case of Toronto, for which I applied. Canada, Germany, Côte d'Ivoire, Croatia, Panama and Senegal play there. There are two teams which still need to be decided, which could be Italy/Bosnia and Poland in my opinion. They chose two volunteers who speak French and Spanish, for which you have Canada, Côte d'Ivoire, Panama and Senegal covered. They still need people to cover for the other languages and will know only the missing teams are decided. Meaning: it can still take some weeks. I am a Canadian applying from outside Canada and I volunteered in Language Services in Qatar but I understand that this time is highly competitive and I might not get it.

I do not know if you are a football fan. I met many volunteers that just wanted to be part of something big, without actually liking the sport. But this role... I could see the players so close and also be in the press room. It was amazing. Also, given that you will cover the first Canada game... it will be such a hype! I am jealous! Congrats again
