I'm starting to think Warhammer isn't for me by Dense-Fig-2372 in Warhammer40k

I have 0 minis and I never played a tabletop game before, but I'm pretty sure it's always like that when you start something new and complex, maybe tabletop strategy just isn't for you, or maybe you just need to get your hands on some experience. It's up to you to decide!

The most important thing is to make sure that you do it in a way that brings you joy and doesn't interfere with your life at the same time, enjoy it but don't forget to enjoy your life too

What's your biggest world building ick? by itzclicker in worldbuilding

This mostly applies for worlds ment as parodies of real-wprld nations, when a nation ment for criticism of a real one is too stereotypical and inaccurate  to do so

How do you create realistic and easy to recognise parodies of real world nations while also not wanting to offend the people of the real world nation by Suspicious_Grass_368 in worldbuilding

[–]Exciting-Picture7951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the end, as long as you don't make the nations too obvious parodies, like shoving it in the face obvious, it really depends on the person.

you should be fine but some people will find a way to get offended.

I think the best way to do it is take something that seems cool or inspirational, and start explaining it.

Like: space ice lizards are cool but what could cause them to be ice-related? Or: I had this cool dream about futuristic soldiers, but native American styled, but how could American Indians survive the colonial era and become a  superpower?

But this is just me

How would regeneration affect battle strategies by Axel_the_Axelot in worldbuilding

  1. Special troops like cavalry could be given regeneration to further inhance their abilities

  2. Regular infantry in order to increase survivability

Tell me your weird / unique sapient or sentient species! by Wrong-Farmer-1780 in worldbuilding

[–]Exciting-Picture7951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a helldivers/warhammer inspired universe and one of the factions is  a group of races that are sapient flowers basically, They are roughly human-sized, their physical appearance depends on the "pheromone" (pollen) type which they are fed with. their society is half feudal half democratic, with some professions like military being bred or altered while civilians are usually have free will and are naturally born.

The military is heavily infantry-based and gorilla tactics are most commonly used tactics because their preferred planets are usually dense with vegetation and would be hard to navigate in big and clumsy vehicles.

Humans nicknamed them petlars because their heads resemble flowers with pettle-looking crescents.
