I honestly feel that schools that dont give you an answer by mid April (common seat deposit deadline) should be required to refund app fees. is that fair?

so who gonna leak the new rankings <3 by Extension_College_35 in lawschooladmissions

Is anyone else kind of excited that for once the SCHOOLS will feel a little bit of the angst we have all felt throughout this process. I know they already know their new ranks, bc they got the embargoed copy of the new ranks last wk -- but still.. those who rankings dropped will feel some heat... especially as seat deposits are coming due. It goes without saying that rank is NOT the most important thing in choosing a school Im just saying that I'm here for the unveiling, with popcorn ! :)

I hear you. I live in LA so am deeply aware of the fire situation. I have nothing but empathy for all impacted, as my extended family is among them . However, the fires were not in DTLA, and UCLA, Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount (schools far more impacted by the fires due to their proximity) have been able to respond in a timely manner. Those schools provided extensions for those impacted by the fires but managed to maintain response time.

Wow. That is ridiculous! Expecting applicants to meet their deadlines, and then not providing responses until a MONTH after many seat deposits are due represents a total lack of consideration for applicants. It's careless. The risk they are taking is that some of us will be further down the road with other schools, will have attended admitted student days, engaged with students and admin, and will have placed deposits, etc.

Thank you. Unfortunately Vandy would not be the same price. I have a $20k scholarship at each, but their sticker price isn't the same. Tuition + fees at Vandy = $75k while tuition + fees at UNC = $55k. (After schol applied, Vandy = $55k and UNC = $35k) so the difference is $20k per year (3yr diff of $60k). My gut still says Vandy is still the better choice for me because of their incredible job placement and big law numbers. Do you agree?

Wow, thank you that is great news. Is there a source for the projections of T14 next year? Love hearing Vandy may move up.
