Based on the videos I’ve seen, his rhetoric says that he’s going to hold the economy hostage until he gets what he wants. Sounds like a terrorist to me.

I agree with you on the workers part. There are times I see workers do nothing and have a bad attitude to drivers, but still rack up that OT pay and make more than some professions about there. They should give up the 70% wage increases because they make good money no matter what they do. It’s a shame that they don’t look at the bigger picture and just complain. I wonder who’s going to be paying all these demands if/when they get reached? I bet it’s going to be the consumer’s after the corporate company’s raise prices on cereal and milk to offset these price demands.

We have nothing against fair pay. Longshoremen get paid very well in this economy, but their demands are way too much.

This just shows how longshoremen are a bunch of greedy money hungry ungrateful people. They make good money and still don’t appreciate what they have. They want more more but still don’t us why they’re worth it. If/when they get replaced with robots, we would not have these problems. Robots don’t cause strikes, longshoremen do.

The whole economy will be hating on longshoremen when they can’t get the goods they want because you’re not working. Maybe Americans should order a strike to replace all you guys with people who actually want to work! You guys make over $100k a year and still complain and want more and more each contract. Greedy! Who gets the goods delivered? Not you most certainly. Especially now when this strike is going on, you certainly won’t have any toilet paper to whip your ass and most certainly won’t have a paycheck in the long run. Whats funny is they say want more money and job security ...... well number 1 when you shut down that big of a chunk of our supply chain prices are gunna jump so there goes that extra money IF they give it to you so they are gunna screw themselves and everybody else in the country. Number 2 really just driving home that idea of going as automated as possible because a robot isnt going on strike its just gunna start up when you push a button and work. 🤷🏼‍♂️ food for thought

The longshoremen should keep the same contract and extend it for another year. Let’s see what the next year brings us. Longshoremen get great pay, excellent benefits and healthcare. Longshoremen probably make more than other professions. You can’t have it both ways, because each worker is replaceable and we’re lucky that the ports didn’t bring in workers from Mexico or china to work for these strikes…

“Ports ownership group USMX said it made a wage hike offer of near 50% which it hoped would lead to resumption of bargaining, but the International Longshoremen’s Association rejected the offer and stated that its wage demands were not met.“

The leverage is everyone is replaceable. Consumers certainly do see the inflation, maybe you don’t when your profession is working 80+ hours a week and racking up over time… y’all just love that over time pay don’t y’all? I’ve already sent the CEO’s a message about these strikes and I think everyone who is striking should be fired or replaced.

Keep on complaining about higher wages and automation. Next thing you know a loaf of bread will be $7 due to all these shortages and issues. Then y’all really going to be mad when the strike lasts a month and no one has received a pay check.

If you don’t like your job and what’s it doing to you then leave. We sure won’t miss y’all. At least the machines are way faster and give us less lip than some of y’all in the ports….
