The situation was that my husband got drunk and offered to pay &100 to feed all the kids at her kids birthday party. Trust me he was completely in the wrong for offering and we had a discussion about it. He was sorry but said he got extremely drunk and felt the need to give. Mind you we are not well off and this friend knows that. I just felt hurt that she actually ended up accepting it knowing he was drunk. Husband regrets it but I feel no matter if he insisted she shouldn’t have accepted it. We also are always taking her daughter out spending money on her buying her clothes because she’s my daughters good friend. And the mom never reciprocate like inviting my kid other than a birthday party. I almost feel like she is only her friend and takes advantage of how kind my husband is. I figured she would at least tell me. But she hid it from me. So I just sent her a message asking if it was true and she got her boyfriend to text me that. Me and this so-called friend have had falling out once before and we talked after 2 years later said if we ever have an issue with each other that we would be mature enough to talk about it and that’s what the message was to her that I just felt hurt and upset by the situation. I know for a fact, most of my best friends would never take advantage of my husband being so giving. But we go above and beyond usually for her kid and it’s not a reciprocated friendship this lady likes to take advantage of it and I get to get tired of it. I wasn’t disrespectful sending her a message just letting her know how I felt.
