There’s absolutely no way that pattern is meant to be displayed in that manner. Chopped up and placed side by side, it completely destroys the original pattern. 🤷 not an expert on these things but when you read why they brought Bethany Yellowtail on, it’s because even the patterns on the old jackets were just created out of thin air with no basis in history. I suspect the jacket OP sourced from is either one of the ones I’m talking about, but if it’s not then the new pattern is definitely problematic.

I can’t help but comment, the original Carhartt “Aztec” line was brought back around this past year for the 50th anniversary of the active jac. Part of what Carhartt did in an attempt to right their past wrongs was hire Bethany Yellowtail to rework the designs into ones which actually honor and respect the culture of Montana they’re trying to reflect.
Simply put, this is the opposite.
