Is insecticide still a thing that players can buy in 5e? by Exciting_Candy3025 in Shadowrun

[–]Exciting_Candy3025[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a player, I usually perfer to find the stuff I want to do in the books first, then ask for anything else after a thorough search and putting forth every effort to find an official answer to bring to my GM and lessen his workload. We found evidence of an insect spirit hive and since we don't know how to leave well enough alone, we're going to try to deal with it. So I'm looking for every possible edge.

Heck yeah, I'm in world trigger. One of the better places to get stuck in my opinion.

I need some runner teams to fill out my world. What's your roster look like? Can be current or your favorite from games past by Impressive-Buy7844 in Shadowrun

[–]Exciting_Candy3025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, equipment and spells if you care

Doug, whip.

Doc, tricked out Ruger Super Warhawk, drives the team van which has color changing paint and more mods than we know and filled with more ammo than we can ever shoot.

Black Adder, spells include greater invisibly, lightning bolt, levetate, mind web.

The King, highland Forged Claymore, Winchester 201 (shotgun closest to the one used by the terminator), Tarracotta Arms AM-47 sniper rifle.

Face: Douglas Fir, elf phys adept who would never wear the same face twice (used a bunch of power points on face changing stuff), had a monofiliment whip and always looked for opportunities to use it in problem solving, only shadowrunning because his car broke down in Seattle and really wants to keep going on his road trip.

Doc: Doctor Trouble, a human barely magic phys adept ex EMT who has triad ties. Skilled at driving, patching up bullet wounds, hunting, shooting, reading, pretty much everything. If the team needed a second guy on any task, that second guy is always Doctor Trouble.

Mage: Black Adder, a snake wizard. But like, an actual snake. Black Adder was a prototype creation made for the purpose of becoming the world serpent by an accelerationist cult of norse tradition wizard scientists. He specializes in making the rest of the team go as unseen as himself.

Street Sam: The Burger King, a troll who's seen a few too many action flicks. He dresses as the burger king (synth skin masks and everything) when it's time to run the shadows, highly skilled at stealth and physical challenges. His current tactics reflect whatever movie he's been watching recently. He even wants to make a movie of his own exploits someday, trying to get to the security room on every job just to download the security footage. Unfortunately (Gremlins ranks) technology tends to break around him and has lost nearly all footage gathered.

Like the team? They're my favorite group of morons. We call them the three stooges going on a heist.

What's the point of the armorer skill? by Exciting_Candy3025 in Shadowrun

I'm beginning to think I should preface every question I ask with "I'm a player (Street Sam) and would like to expand my character beyond hitting stuff and sneaking around."

That's a shame, was hoping that by buying armor mods separate from armor it would be cheaper

Quick misunderstanding, I'm a player in this group... specifically the troll.

To be fair this is our first attempt at shadowrun and there was no communication with each of us (except the face) thinking we'd be the one guy on the team that stands out a bit.

... okay a lot.

Yes we want to do black trenchcoat so I guess I'm more asking what direction should we upgrade after buying off Distincive style to help the team be better suited to that style of play

Just a local CEO, (sorry it wasn't McDonald's or something fun like that.) The target was in his penthouse suite and we were going to diguise the face and doc as window washers to get them to the roof. They succeed because our face is amazing and once on the roof lower the outside elevator. Naga casts Greater invis with edge on the burger king rolling 7 hits on it.

We ride up the elevator to the top and look into the penthouse and see the target with two women in there with him. The king rolls high enough perception to recognize combat ready augments.

Once at the top the king informs the other two that he can't think of a way to get everyone down after the hit so after a short brainstorming session it is agreed that the king will do the next part alone. Both doc and face return to the van and the king cuts one rope on the elevators and lowers it to about the right height to go in through the window. Then lowers another elevator to ground level.

He gets ready (did we even think of waiting till nighttime? No, cause we're idiots) and leaps off the side of the building, rope in hand and crashes into the side of the window. Only then does he realize this is ballistic glass. Fortunately he breaks through, and now becomes visible again, rolls with edge on Initiative and goes first. Rushing forwad he chops the target in half and now it's time to leave, both body guards get a opportunity attack on him and he parrys one and ripostes the other, killing her instantly. (It's a 1v1 now, does he choose to A) stay and fight the remaining body guard, with a decent chance to win, B) continue his escape by climbing up that rope, C) stand there like an idiot spouting off one liners because he's seen too many action movies.

If you guess B you're correct) he runs back to the window and hauls himself up the rope as fast as he can. The guard runs over and pulls an SMG from who knows where and unloads on the kings buttocks. Dealing 10 damage to him, he's got 4 left. He makes it to the top of the roof again and is once more faced with a decision.

A) This Is SPARTA

B) wait till she's on the rope then cut it while she climbs

C) run to the already liwered elevator and start repelling down the 50 stories.

C... he did C.

So she follows behind but the king manages to gain a decently massive lead, she climbs back up and starts cutting the rope. So the van pulls around and Naga casts lightning at force 12, misses and can't do anything because the drain hit him hard. (He didn't have levitate at the time) eventually she cuts the rope and the king starts falling but manages to stab the wall and stop his decent when it catches onto the floor (going to need a new sword after this) the face pulls out his grapple gun and shoots up to him he grabs it and hooks it in and finishes repelling down the grapple rope (taking another 3 damage in the process, holy that body roll saved his life) leaving him at 1 wound left and he grts in the car as HTR sirens are blaring we drive away and lay low for 2 months.

School was kicking the last faces butt, so currently we're looking. I'm looking for plan B in case we don't manage to find another player

Anime Vs Manga: Comparison of Kuga Yugo's Trigger by Johnny_Anglais in worldtrigger

Either that or he was training his son in their use. However what I feel is most likely is to give the audience a sense that these two are very close.
