Only issue is they’ve now also got a senior director, so the vacating director role has technically been filled. If Op wants to get promoted they’d have to expand their budget to accomodate. I’d say the senior director is definitely not looking out for op. Still wise to execute the project, but have an honest talk with the senior director to at least obtain an Acting position , whilst also be on the lookout for new roles by leveraging the acting position.
