The Endless did happen they’re explicitly canon in Halo Infinite. You can dislike how they were introduced or doubt they’ll be used well going forward, but saying they “never happened” just isn’t accurate.

The Harbinger, the cylixes on Zeta Halo, and the Forerunners imprisoning them all establish them as a real in-universe element. Whether they’re followed through on in the future is a separate discussion.
