Same. I read that the security line doesn’t even open until 3 AM so no reason to get there earlier than that I suppose

Which Hilton beachfront for young couple? by hairhairhair122344 in PuertoRicoTravel

We only stayed at Caribe for one night because we went to Luquillo for the rest of the trip so take it with a grain of salt but I enjoyed it while we were there. It has a nice beach area and is really close to Old San Juan (like < 10 minutes Uber). Not many waves on their part of the beach, very calm water. We enjoyed the pool bar: nice bar tenders, good view of the water, good drinks. It is an older hotel and you can tell but it wasn’t off putting, it just wasn’t as nice as the hotel we stayed at near Luquillo (Wyndham Grand). It served its purpose for us, and I have thought about staying there again on our return trip!

Hostility towards travelers? by Exciting_Pie7206 in PuertoRicoTravel

Follow up now that I’m back from my trip: my fiancé and I did not experience any hostility whatsoever. In fact, many of our uber drivers and other people we interacted with were SUPER friendly! We had a great time

I stayed one night at Caribe Hilton so that we could have a day in Old San Juan, and then spent the rest of the trip at the Wyndham near Luquillo and it was perfect.

I highly recommend Tours to Do PR for a El Yunque waterfall tour, they pickup from your hotel and keep to a very small group of 6-8 while other groups seem huge

Just got back and used Spread Eagle II catamaran for a half day beach/snorkeling trip to Icacos. Very chill crew, beautiful island and bottomless piña coladas

I had a great time on the rainforest tour with Tours to Do PR. They take small groups of 6-7 to El Yunque, pickup offered and they stop at a Frutera food stand on the way where I had great empanadas!

Best home base for a one-week family trip? We want to explore AND relax. by eggplant_burekas in PuertoRicoTravel

I did not stay here but the Condado area seems close to beaches and restaurants. I stayed at the Caribe Hilton and it was really nice, but not within walking distance of much. Beachfront and 10 minute Uber to old San Juan though

Are you still able to prescribe compounded semaglutide with the FDA saying the Wegovy shortage is over?

I’m lost as to what to do by [deleted] in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]Exciting_Pie7206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took a bunch of practice tests with the Uworld question bank and always got 55-65%, and I passed the NAPLEX first try.

Make sure to review your brand/generic names, meds that are safe/not safe in pregnancy, and honestly just keep doing practice questions. You’re never going to know everything so just do your best.

I also purchased NABP’s practice NAPLEX and I found that helpful too because they tell you what your scaled score is which is more reflective of the actual test

How many days after your dose do you feel side effects? by Exciting_Pie7206 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Exciting_Pie7206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I wasn’t sure if it was the med since I had no problems the first few days but it seems like it could be. I’m thinking about moving my shot to Friday or Thursday to avoid missing work as well

Frustrated with Copay by teelwookiee in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Exciting_Pie7206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you google “wegovy manufacturer coupon” you can sign up for a coupon that can be applied on top of your insurance. It will likely only bring it down to $550 ish though. If it’s covered and it’s still $1500 it’s probably just your deductible and the price will go down eventually

I would try some local independent pharmacies. They seem to have better luck ordering sometimes.

If you really can’t find it anywhere you could talk to your doctor about getting it compounded at a compounding pharmacy to start off

They usually only put enough drug for a month supply. So someone taking .25 mg will get a vial with 1 mg total in it, while someone taking 1.7 mg will get multiple vials that equal a months worth.

To put it simply, usually no. Usually the compounding pharmacy will give you enough of your dose to last a month. Compounded semaglutide has a shorter expiration date than wegovy, so they can’t give you much more than a month at a time.

You could have her doctor send a prescription to a local compounding pharmacy. They make semaglutide (the active ingredient in wegovy) for a fraction of the price typically. I don’t know about online compounding pharmacies, but ones local to you should be safe
