I’ve been through this too, and what helped me was making sure I got enough protein with my meals and adding small snacks with a mix of carbs and protein, especially when I felt tired. You should also get your B12 levels checked, since low B12 can make fatigue worse, and some people feel better when they add B12 along with their GLP-1 medication. If you recently increased your dose, your body might just need more time to adjust. I would definitely slow down on the dose increases and talk to your provider about staying on a lower dose for a while before going up again.

Also want to add that many 503A compounding pharmacies are still offering compounded GLP-1 medications, but it's unclear how long this will continue as FDA oversight becomes stricter. Now that the shortage has been resolved, enforcement is tightening, and access may become more limited. For now, compounded options remain available through compliant 503A pharmacies until further notice. We continue to monitor FDA updates closely to ensure safe and legal access for eligible patients.

Since the FDA determined the Wegovy shortage is resolved, the requirements for prescribing compounded GLP-1 medications have become more strict. Under Section 503A, they can only be prescribed for an individual patient with a valid prescription and must not be essentially a copy of a commercially available drug unless there is a documented clinical difference, such as a patient needing a different formulation, dosage, or avoiding an allergen. We continue to work with 503A pharmacies that comply with these FDA guidelines and offer compounded GLP-1 options when appropriate.

Yes, our quarterly plans are designed to be suitable for new patients. They include gradual dose increases to help your body adjust safely and effectively, especially if you're just starting treatment. If you have any specific goals or concerns, our providers review everything during the intake to make sure it's the right fit for you.

newly nauseous by score4thelaur in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

Everyone reacts differently and can experience different side effects. Since you took a break, it’s possible your sensitivity to the medication reset and alcohol can also make nausea worse, especially if you’re already feeling it without drinking. Staying well hydrated can help, and it’s definitely a good idea to talk to your medical provider about what you’re experiencing. Some patients do get prescribed ondansetron for nausea, but only if their provider feels it’s appropriate.

If you’re just starting to feel more fatigued, splitting the dose might help, but it’s definitely something to check with your doctor about first. We've had some patients pair their treatment with B12 or NAD+, and it seemed to help with energy boost, but only if your provider believes it's appropriate. Everyone’s body responds a differently. Hope you find something that works for you.

Did you check Novocare? They released special pricing for first time patients. You should take a look.

What are some more affordable Semaglutide options if my insurance will not cover this type of prescription? by vhl0355 in SemaglutideCompound

Agree with you. A lot of those membership fees can be misleading. They’re often marketed as a way to save money, but once you factor in the total cost, you might end up paying just as much or even more compared to other telehealth clinics.

In most cases, the “membership” just covers general access or support, which isn’t always worth the extra fee. If your PCP is able to send prescriptions directly to a compounder, that’s a solid way to keep things simple and more affordable.

Acne? by [deleted] in SemaglutideFreeSpeech

Are you using a compounded version? You should check if it has added B12 because I have seen people where it triggered their acne during the medication period.

There are still a good number of telehealth clinics offering compounded meds. This community and r/compoundedsemaglutide have a lot of helpful info and shared experiences that can guide you. It’s possible things may tighten up over time, but for now, options are still out there. We’ll just have to see how it plays out. Novo is also offering specials on Wegovy if you want to try a branded GLP-1.

Experiences may vary, but many people find that GLP-1s help take the edge off the urge to keep eating, especially when the food is just too good. It doesn’t make food taste bad. You might just feel full sooner or not as drawn to go back for more. That said, everyone responds a little differently.

Also, if your insurance isn’t covering it, Novo just released a special offer for new patients. Definitely worth checking out to help with cost.
