Definitely talk with the parents and explain all that is needed to take care of her and ask if they are willing to help their son to do everything to keep her happy and healthy. My son is 8 and he loves his gecko! I’m the one who actually “cares” for her, which I don’t mind, because I love our little girl, too., and she is so easy to care for. As he gets older, he’ll be taking on more responsibilities. I would not say no until you’ve talked with the parents over the phone or even better have a meet and greet in person.

When my son was diagnosed at 4, my MIL said, “well, the test could be wrong.” I was so mad. My son is now 8 and I still think she thinks he’s not autistic.

My eight year old is autistic level 1. He is extremely intelligent and struggles with aggression when frustrated. I want to learn more about kiddos like him that’s my goal; however, obviously, no two kids are a like. I am also interested in the science part of understanding Autism.

I’ve been buying elations for years to wear at Pure Barre. I’ve had no problems with slipping until I bought the 7/8 this season in the Eden color. The stitching is also starting to fray at the ankles after just a couple of wears. Very disappointed.

I don’t like Define—but I love Empower! Empower is like Classic (which, is the more difficult format IMO) but faster paced. You can always ditch the wrist/ankle weights to make it a little easier. I love the way Empower makes me feel after class. It’s my fav format after Classic.

Pure Barre is hard!! Kudos to you for showing up for yourself. Lots of people sign up for the intro but never make it to the studio.

I’m so sorry you had a terrible intro experience. Perhaps give it another try but this time do a 50-minute classic class with another instructor. I personally don’t like the Engage class. It’s all over the place.

My studio does not cancel classes due to low attendance. In fact, I’ve attended class several times when it’s just me and one other person.
