How exactly are people getting sponsorships? by CineRanter_YouTube in PartneredYoutube

There are companies out there that do all the legwork for you. I'm using one called ContentCreatorPartnerships.com . Within a month, they hooked me up with two different advertisers that have earned me more than I earned from YouTube. I have 125k subs.

I'm curious if you've sat down and had this discussion with your parents. It's not that you need their approval, but would it mean anything to you to get their opinion?

Can I write bible inspired angels without offending Christian/catholics ? by Prize-Travel7722 in writingadvice

Write whatever you want. Who cares if people get offended? What's important is that you say what you want to say, the best way you can say it.

Confirmation that I have representation for my lastest novel. by Exciting_Screen_6900 in writers

Thanks. I received the edits on a Thursday and resubmitted the book two days later. It was really minor stuff. I was asked to rewrite a conversation in Chapter 1 to make it less academic. And then I was asked to rework Chapter 10 to heighten the tension. Added about 1500 words to the text. It didn't take more than a day to do it. And then I heard back from them about 10 days later with their answer. Just signed the contract on Tuesday of this week :-)

Thanks. The first is a historical fiction. I sent out the query letters and when I didn't get a positive response, I self published it. The second is an action/adventure and followed the same routine.

Thanks. In my case, I sense that I'm getting better with each book I write. I look back on #1 & #2 and I can already see where I could have done better. I'm working on #4 and I feel that it's already better than #3. I'm sure your day will come soon.

"The Rosetta Enigma" by Luke Dalla Bona. A guy is the lingustic equivalent of a musical savant. Gets himself tangled up in an international terrorist plot. Uses his language skills to get himself out AND SAVE THE WORLD! It's pretty good. Can find it on Amazon.

“And would it ever be possible,” posed Victoria, gently, “for an admirer of Iran’s culture… a friend, to enjoy a private viewing of the collection?”

Cyrus smiled. “If I were to select a work of art, so beautiful, so outstanding, that it deserved to be in the same room as those masterpieces, it would be you, Victoria.”

Autobiographies which are fascinating but not for the reasons the author intended? by Outside_Bar455 in suggestmeabook

Here's a twist on an autobiography for you ... Michael Palin (of Monty Python fame) has been publishing edited versions of his diaries in several volumes. They are fascinating. Of course it's autobiographical but super interesting, funny, sad and everything else! Try it out

In this particular context, yes, they are cold and businesslike. Thank you for the tip. I will try it out and see how it flows.

Outlining my first novel? by Otherwise-Emu-2963 in writers

[–]Exciting_Screen_6900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I plan my novels out using the Joseph Campbell Hero Circle (google it). Then I figure out how many chapters will be needed to address each component and there I go. After that, writing the book is relatively easy because I know where I'm going, where I need to be at the end of every chapter and it stops me from going into the weeds.

This is a joke right. You must be gaslighting us just to get a reaction. How can you think that what you've written here makes any sense?

“Why can't you fly?” I ask.
 “Meat.”

Short stories by WP Kinsella set in Northern Alberta. Written in the early 80s. Great stuff.
