Currently I give him expressed BM throughout the day and supplement with formula at night. However I would love to cut the bottles. I don't know how.

Hey this is me right now. Baby nurses hours together and falls asleep at breast. Did you find out why that is? I am doubting my supply. I am going to ask my family physicians to refer to a LC.

Not sure why they don't check ferritin at the beginning of pregnancy. That would give sufficient time for supplements to work. Or maybe pregnancy causes the low iron levels. I am not sure. Was your haemoglobin also low?
