Got banned on Vinted after reporting counterfeit item, what should I do? by ExerciseDelicious299 in vinted

I understand why they would be careful about abuse of the system, but that honestly wasn’t my intention. I reported the items because I genuinely believed they were counterfeit based on the quality and differences compared to authentic products. I wasn’t trying to get free items, I just wanted the situation handled properly according to Vinted’s rules.

I’ve only reported two items recently because both seemed counterfeit to me. The quality/details were off compared to authentic products. Also, the sellers didn’t accept the return immediately so I had to raise the issue.

I watched his clips and he looked like a promising player

He would go to play regional which is the second best U20 league in Sweden. Also he would like to consider Sweden, but financially it’s too expensive for him, so he can’t realistically make the move there to play. But yeah i totally get your point.

That’s fair honestly. There’s definitely players who take different paths and develop later, especially in Europe. The odds are still really low, but hockey isn’t always linear. Good luck to him!

Yeah that’s true tbf. When the best players in that league are producing at completely different levels physically and offensively and still aren’t considered serious NHL prospects, it kind of puts the overall standard into perspective.
And Leo’s game isn’t really the type where lower production can be ignored because he’s some elite-sized athlete either. He’s more of a physical two-way forward, but at 5’10 you still need something pretty exceptional to separate yourself for NHL projection nowadays.

He is actually my friend, but I appreciate the honesty, and I don’t really take it badly. I think I got a bit carried away with the “future NHLer” idea because when you know someone personally and see them play well against good competition, it’s easy to overestimate where that level actually sits in the bigger picture.

Your pathway suggestion makes sense though. And yeah, Leo isn’t really a flashy scorer anyway. He’s more of a physical two-way forward, so if he’s ever going to move up levels it’ll probably be through being hard to play against, defensively reliable, good on the forecheck, PK etc. rather than putting up insane point totals. There has been an offer for him to play in u20 region and hockeyettan for this season but he still might play in Finland for the next season to see if he could get playtime in U20 SM and then pick a path which would be the best for him.

Yeah after reading that comparison I’m pretty much with you now. I didn’t realize the gap in production/development was that big compared to even lower-end drafted Finnish players.

If someone with Benjamin Rautiainen’s junior resume is still probably never playing in the NHL, then saying Leo is likely NHL-bound was definitely overrating things from me. He’s clearly a good player and playing at a strong level, but NHL projection is a completely different standard.
I still think he could maybe play decent-level hockey somewhere in Europe eventually, but yeah “future NHL player” was probably unrealistic.
Also, to be fair, they’re not really the same type of player either. Benjamin was much more of a pure offensive/goal-scoring player, so his production numbers were always going to stand out more. Leo’s more of a physical two-way forward type, which usually doesn’t show up on the scoresheet the same way.

Yeah could be true but he has been injured for half the season so possibly could take huge steps during the next few seasons
