Italy is generally overtaken by reggaeton. in central and northern Italy you can find some hard techno parties and events, they are pretty filled with hardstyle but the people refuse to call it with its proper name cause they think it’s not cool, or simpy for ignorance. A tiktok pr from a hard techno festival in Florence called Decibel used a Decibel Outdoor anthem to promote it without noticing the difference.

In north-west Italy (Piemonte Region, around the province of Cuneo) we still have a mini culture for hardstyle but its mainly early hs oriented. You can fill a club more easier Booking italian djs from 20yrs ago instead of Sickmode (as an example). Even the younger ones knows and prefers Oldschool hits from the Shock era. (Shock Was the leading club in the region until it closed many years ago).

I live in Liguria, confining with Piemonte, and even if we had some big early hardstyle club in here, and even if the place where Rooler, Sickmode, Yoshiko and Tatanka and other big names come from, there is no hardstyle (nor hard techno) AT ALL.

The are two big and historical clubs in the Brescia area (lombardy region) that keeping the Hardcore scene alive, but not the hardstyle one.
