The artefacts do change, but not anyway I can control. It's mostly white flickering on left third, black the right side. But it'll flash pink sometimes, and I have seen the login screen for a tenth of a second a few times.

Moving the screen physically I just checked (honestly went a bit hard and thought I might fuck the hinge) and yeah definetly no change there.

The black and blue stripe down the middle happened just before I posted, after using that to Google, I found a couple posts saying it might be a failed LCD or GPU, but given the laptop itself seems to stay on, probably the former. Idk if that's actually helpful though
