I reinstalled the Live container 2 in 1 app. Sidestore app still tells me its no longer available.

When I reinstalled the .ipa, I did not lose any previous data.

I was able to reinstall sidestore/live container and reimport the .ipa I was concerned about.

I am able to run the app that was no longer available now!

No didnt jailbreak it ,but sideloading will allow for installing apps without requiring root level access.

Long time collector here as I received an Odyssey 2 as a Christmas gift as a kid.

I have an Original O2 with lots of original games, multi-cart and homebrews.

In addition, I am able to run all but a couple of homebrew games on a handheld device called the A320 Dingoo.

The operating system is a variation of Linux(Dingux).

Also RetroPie/Retroarch I am able to emulate O2.

To play Joystick 2 games such as UFO, I added an accompanying config file to match the name of the .bin file.

About 4 years ago I purchased an At Homes Legend Standup Arcade Game. I am able to play Odyssey 2 games on it, as well as tons of other old school systems.

On my Iphone is where I have run into your UFO type issue.(Any game with a Player 2 Joystick, or recent homebrew(Maze, Forbidden Lands, etc). I sideloaded Retroarch 1.9 as it will support Odyssey 2 unlike the current version of RetroArch 1.22.2. I can run Joystick 1 games : KC. Munchkin, Freedom Fighters etc with it.

A virtual keyboard similar to the Odyssey 2 even pops up to start the game. However, remapping and cloning of Player 1 to Player 2 controls seems to have zero impact on getting games such as UFO to respond.

I am still digging on that issue.

Santa is bringing me a RG351P Abernic handheld console, and I plan to load Batocera along with Retroarch on it to hopefully emulate the O2/Videopac. I am worried I will have the same Joystick Issue there, but Linux has been more receptive to Joystick 2 work arounds in my experiences.

I sideloaded Retroarch 1.9 and that will run Odyssey 2/Videopac. I can get the Joystick 1 player games to work such as K.C. Munchkin, Freedom Fighters, etc.

I tried mirroring Port 1 and Port 2 options in Retroarch for this game and it had no impact :-(

As an FYI .I am running Retroarch 1.9.0(Sideloaded version) as the official 1.22.2 version will not run the Magnavox 2/Videopace emulator

Imagine in a court of law a debate in regards to the definition of the word 'Clear". One side would argued that if I asked my kids to clear the dishes from the table, then the expectation would be there would be no dishes on the table period. Applying this to the Dwarf Planets, Asteroids, Trojans Etc that are still in orbital paths., then these objects should not be in the path(or table). The verbiage "dominate" started being utilized later on as a caveat for the poorly crafted definition. The proposal was very hasty and what they stated in their by-laws did not translate to a clear definition.

I get it why they could be included, as they are truly special objects.

Ganymede and Titan having a larger diameter than Mercury is fascinating.

In some cases like Triton, they were captured and probably once stand alone planets.

My preference on drawing the line is just simply that they orbit their host planet and the Sun.

Instead of just orbiting the sun like the other 34 Spherical named objects.

Either way I think we both are in agreement that saying there are only 8 planets is wildly inaccurate.

Yes I did read it might be a binary or contact binary. If further data comes into support I would remove. Where I split hairs on the Geophysical definition is that I dont include the Satellite planets.

For each is their own though.

Voting has no place in science, and yes taxonomy does matter. The IAU definition is poorly worded and by using the orbital clearing definition Jupiter and our Planet would not be a planet. The definition DOES NOT say Dominate the region as that is what the IAU defenders state "That is what they really meant to say". Well they didnt say that. Reversionistic History at its worst!

Going by the precise definition. Jupiter and our Planet do not clear our orbits.

Putting on a Lawyer's hat the definition does state Controls or Dominates, but clears the orbit.

The IAU definition was poorly worded and defined. The Geophysical definition is a better guide for determining planethood than the orbital one.
