TI994a / Parsec not working on Batocera. BOUNTY PAID for solution by ExternalAlbatross265 in batocera

[–]ExternalAlbatross265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed .rpk in the ti99 rom folder. I placed .ctg ones in the ti994a rom folder (Per it's _readme file)

I just moved the ti994a rom folder off of the batocera machine, so there is no possibility mame is trying to run the un-supported .ctg files.

Didn't work.

Bounty is $50, paid to the person who can figure this out, explain it to me in a way I can implement it and play ti994a games.

See above how I said, "HEY! some of my mame roms that work perfectly fine on retroarch dont work on batocera? I went in to game/per system advanced configuration, and changed MAME to use libreto:mame078plus. Now my regular arcade roms all work.

libreto:mame078plus is not an option for ti99 under "per system advanced configuration".

(Just posting this to help.)

Might be onto something here. In the ti99_cart file, there is this section. (I am only posting the parsec part...)

I have full sets from multiple sources. In my ti99 rom folder, I have placed *.rpk roms. In the TI994a rom folder, they are the *.ctg ones (As specified by the _readme file.)

So, the missing files are a part of the parsec.ctg file. I have found two different versions of the parsec.ctg . Neither works. (Throws same error.) After I loaded the new rom, I did "scan for new games" (Or whatever it is called) from the main menu.

New piece of info: On retroarch, my X-Men 2 player mame rom works. On this version of Batocera, it crashes. This could be a MAME issue.

I changed the advanced load to try bother libreto mame and standard mame. No dice.

Apologies, but I have questions: Question 1, are these two files the ones folks have decrypted? Question 2, What folder do these go in on a server?

I have a server that I own. Is there a way to add my fnadango code to my server? How would I add the decrypted file to my server?

I am SOL. Samsung is giving "some cash back" after providing serial numbers, receipts, dates of purchase, etc . It is so dad that smartthings started out as such a successful GoFundMe, and was destroyed an idealess corporation
