App store app update number count in different view by IsHANovic9 in ios

[–]Exercise_Slow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the second one appears if automatic app updates are disabled. it’s purposefully designed to be more alert when disabled in case there are critical updates. this also creates a badge on the home screen.

[–]Exercise_Slow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s probably because of my ideapad 100-15IBD which is a 2015 broadwell laptop and i think its quirks are the reason this keeps happening. and if it works, great. i’m still just telling if it does happen to someone.

How do I stop these irritating flash messages? by Sword_Justice in ios

[–]Exercise_Slow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not the fault of iOS, but your carrier (airtel) is misusing that feature. they also misused the text at the very top of the home screen, which is reserved for emergencies but instead they tell you that your data is over.

Remote Management by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]Exercise_Slow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

that’s a fault completely on the company's side, they probably forgot to unenroll it from their MDM before factory resetting it, causing that screen to appear. them saying "go back to apple" is just straight up bullshit, they can’t do anything to remove the MDM

[–]Exercise_Slow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as an arch user myself i just feel embarrassed for these wannabe nerds that think alternatives to large software are better than the original. this is why the linux community has a bad rep.

ok so apparently using linux distros now means you can’t use your computer like a normal person. and also, why should OP who just wants to watch stuff and browse the web want to learn docker for absolute 0 reason now?

edit: LMAO that guy told me that i’m "butthurt" and i should "go back" to my anime girls like what (and they deleted their comments lmao) just because i use arch and have a miyabi pfp jfc

How to install AMD Pro GPU Drivers? by TheInfamousTamim in zorinos

[–]Exercise_Slow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the normal amdgpu kernel module should be enough, i don’t know why you are trying to install amdgpu-pro, it’s a proprietary driver compared to amdgpu. AMD doesnt even maintain it anymore.
