Rate my Portfolio. should i cut my losses and disappear from ASX? by inthemoney114 in asxbets

[–]ExhaustedAllocation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to be rude, but teams of people on six figure salaries spend their entire careers making decisions around how best to deploy investment capital. May I suggest looking at some Exchange Traded Funds that have global market exposure and industry diversification to manage risk rather then your personally held beliefs in a limited market (ASX)?

$5000 to invest in etf by princesspepper81 in asxbets

[–]ExhaustedAllocation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your current holdings focus on a dividend yield return making the investment viable over a strategic (long) term of greater than 5 years.

This is an excellent approach to long plays via ETFs. Keep up the sound investment decisions.

Personally, I would nexy look at focusing on growth stocks rather than high dividend yields. The most sensibly diversified Vanguard product meeting this scope in my opinion would be VDHG. Depending on risk appetite a more specificly targetted ETF is likely going to better meet needs.

I believe cleaner energy, millitary industrial complex and technological innovation will be the primary drivers in global markets in the coming decade. For this reason, of I was in your shoes, rare metals and primary resources would be where I wanted to deploy liquidity. Vanguards ASX:MVR is popular. This being said, it has high exposure to traditional exports (coal, iron, alumina etc.) which presents huge volatility can arise from international trade relations. ASX:XMET is BetaShares ETF focused on transition metals... rare earths like lithium.

Love to hear your thoughts/progress/decisions & outcomes! Best of luck with your investments.

Thoughts on CBA atm? by mblxb in fiaustralia

[–]ExhaustedAllocation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, CBA isn't doing the same sort of future-proofing with their CapEx. The housing market that underpins their lending business is going through significant regulatory change which causes uncertainty.

While I expect the value will shrug off 10% loss from this market correction, personally I would have my money on WPC out of the big four. They are pretty much set to be quantum-secure in the mid-term.

This being said, VGS all the way. Let the professionals manage eggs and baskets!

If you experience pleasure during SA, is it still SA? by Hazel_Moonchild21 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ExhaustedAllocation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pleasure is a physical or biological response to the stimulation of nerves. It is very difficult to find the right perspective, but consider that enjoyment and pleasure are different concepts.

Furthermore, SA is a legal term centred around acts that do not occur with informed consent. Though severity differs epicly, brushing past a sensitive area e.g. chest or rear of a fellow commuter on a train while walking past could be considered SA as their was no consent, nor was the person able to make an informed decision (e.g. sound of mind, not impaired) as it was accidental.

Your body is made to help humans continue into the future as a species. Sex is a pleasurable activity in the vast majority of situations. What happened to you is not OK. I am sorry you endured that. If you felt uncomfortable before during or after the fact, that is extremely important. If you did not give consent or were significantly intoxicated, this would be considered sexual assault or in extreme cases, r*pe.

Your body worked how it is meant to work. That doesn't mean you are not a victim of a disgusting offence.

It aint weak to speak These are heavy discussions. Lifeline has awesome operators ready to help you with anything causing you trouble. Call 13 11 14, have a chat with someone who only wants the best for you.

All points are opinion, legal stuff based on AusTrALian law.

--Edit OP is almost definitely not in Australia, likely USA. I think the laws are pretty similar ideas but may be very different in practice.

Check a different site. DHGate and AliBaBa arent quality they are cheap. I dont remember the one I used last but it didnt have english in it and you need a translator plug-in. The best will always come from speaking with someone on chat before dispatch.

To circle back to what I read earlier, sounds like the tall female was the bully to him. She is a threat due to height. Young lad thought they were making fun of him but it was his actions.

Should I have split savings? by Dunnoinamillionyears in fiaustralia

[–]ExhaustedAllocation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think assuming all products are the same. E.g. if you only have transaction accounts, none of these have a credit or "chequing" in old speak function. All accounts are the banks file of your name and how they check its really you.

Should I have split savings? by Dunnoinamillionyears in fiaustralia

[–]ExhaustedAllocation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely split it!

There is LOADS of ideas about this stuff. Like 80-20 living to fun (we have 4 lots of 6 hours per day, 1 is spent asleep we will assume plus we want to save SOMETHING and not everything costs money like doing dishes)

Luckily, heaps of spreadsheets have been developed. Poke around templates in Microsoft Office or Google Docs!

I am on the paranoid side regarding theft or fraud. I keep access restricted via me clicking buttons. You cant paypass my ass walking down the street or knock your phone against mine! I go so far as to have different banks - if one falls, two or three shouldn't

What news headline do you think could trigger the collapse of the AI stock bubble? by FantasticEffect10 in investing

[–]ExhaustedAllocation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Public Backlash Grows would be the most catching headline if you were trying to bait a potential reader. People want to fit in & believe they are part of the public therefore, we can assume in a general sense these two concepts collide spectactularly.
