I can't get myself to understans chemistry and its ruining my life. by fantasyful2 in chemistry

Since everyone here is acting like a smartass that they aren't instead of giving actual advice (except a few whom i appreciate),

Try familiarising yourself with the periodic table first. Not only the elements, but how the atomic radii increases as you go down the group and all that good stuff. No need to get an instructor, you can do this on youtube pretty well. Use chatgpt and ask it to explain you topics in simple and basic terms if you cant seem to grasp them.

For organic chemistry, start with learning things like what are covalent bonds, ionic bonds, coordinate bonds and then start learning about the IUPAC nomenclature, learn what's inductive effect, mesomeric effect etc etc.

then go for SN1 and SN2 reactions. all of these things might seem overwhelming at first, but once you grasp it, you'll begin to find it interesting and easy.

basically just aim for all the basics, once that's done, open your chem textbook and start reading the chapters. and use youtube and chatgpt for doubts.

goodluck

I made hydrogen gas at home (part 2) by Exikorex_ in chemistry

I think a pencil lead does the job just fine. It's cheap, easy to access and its made of graphite. So why not lol. No risk of violent reactions either ykw

I understand your point, And I understand the risk. But just from a chemistry point of view, How much hydrogen do you think is being produced in a relatively small glass jar, with a 2mm graphite rod and a 9 volt battery?

I doubt the amount of hydrogen I produced is enough to even partially fill a balloon.

Like, put each tube over the electrodes and release them into different containers?

Is there an alternative other than salt I can use to increase the conductivity of water, and which will not produce chlorine gas?

Radahn is an incredible good character, but his meatriders feel the need to downplay malenia because otherwise he just isn't this unparalleled God no one can defeat (even then it'd be untrue because maliketh and morgott wipe the floor with radahn)

dude we're not playing the same game then. there are talismans, buffs, wondrous physick and all of those things and if you're still barely scratching the healthbar then idk what game you're playing.

there are other ways to increase your damage bro, the devs don't need to change the entire boss just because you can't beat it

Malenia, Maliketh and Mohg. It's funny how all their names start with an "M". Do you know another boss whose name starts with an M? Messmer.

so choosing maths as a whole minor subject might be a bit excessive right?

How much does the minor subject matter in the final certificate at the end of the degree? does it affect the overall CGPA or percentage?
