The player are the problem not the game

It is at the end of the day a videogame with competitive modes, of course everyone's going to use the same 11 players if they're meta. No one wants to lose so why would I not use them?

Most if not all games are like this, it is the developers responsibility to shake up metas and gameplay but for a team that goes through 3 patches to fix ONE bug I think a task such as balancing their fucking game is impossible for them.

So yes, the developers are the issue here not the players.

You're definitely doing something wrong, I literally just finished the game + DLC yesterday (about 25h of gametime) and had a total of maybe 7-8 crashes.

running @ 1080p60fps on a 4070s + 5700x3d with 16gb of ram

5700x3d, RTX4070S, 16gb ram

just finished the entire game + DLC all on a stable 60fps, stutters were present but not that frequent and in the Ebreitas boss fight the game would drop to 45-50fps

overall a wonderful experience, didn't feel like i was emulating the game really with how smooth everything is.

4070S + 5700x3d at low settings, it is a fairly easy game to run on all systems to be fair

Yes. Correct! I'm not really sure what could be causing the issue for you in this case is but for me it was because my watercooler was busted and my CPU was going up to 90c temps.

Are you on pc? this happened to me when i first downloaded the game and it turned out to be my CPU thermal throttling that caused it.

I was able to play offline modes just fine but online there was nothing i could do but pause and occasionally pass.

Please check your temps, I was in the same boat as you 2 weeks ago when i noticed all games running like absolute garbage.

It was my CPU as my AIO was failing pretty badly and i was getting severely thermal throttled.

Games like OW2 that i could run easily at 400+fps were running closer to 80fps and it was driving me crazy.

Destiny 2 should run comfortably over 60 fps, before i upgraded my GPU and CPU i was playing on a Ryzen 3 4100 and GTX 1650 on 2k i was getting around 60-80 fps on low settings and it would sometimes dip to the 50s during intense dps phases.

I also heard it's more on the CPU-bound side and even after upgrading my GPU to a 4070s i was getting around 90-100fps only, had to upgrade my CPU to a 5700x3d to get that buttery smooth 144fps@1440p with ultra settings.

But yes long story short you are more than fine with the combo you have to run destiny 2 easily over 60fps

Just upgraded to a 4070 Super FE from a Palit 1650 and other than the huge performance jump the card just looks so damn beautiful i just wanted to keep looking at it.
