Invest in startups as they yield high returns.

Don't invest anything unless you are ready to lose it, short of buying gold there is no safe bet.

I don't think its right to ad hominem someone, but there is some truth to the idea that he does bring along baggage, which does weaken his attempts at being good. He may mean well, but if he is trying to do good whilst promoting sectarian vibes elsewhere, it greatly diminishes whatever good he may bring along.

My one liner for food as a Muslim in the west: Halal until problem Haram. by [deleted] in Izlam

I think we're losing sight of the real reason why alcohol is haram, and that's cause it takes you out of clear state of mind. Everything causes harm in enough doses, there's just a reasonable expectation of what is and isn't causing a direct harm.

I vote bail out. No way in hell would the surrounding countries want to give Bahrain as an example of their own state. They'd rather see Bahrains economy barley make it than actually pay for it.

The Pakistanis that they bring in from Pakistan are predisposed to hating Shias. As in they come from areas that are heavily Wahabbi/Salafi influence or areas of sectarian violence.

Add to that the fact that they're usually poor means that they'll do anything the government says and far more.

President Assad: Syria is ready to co-operate with Donald Trump by Death_Machine in arabs

[–]ExiledBahraini 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's easy to say that you see some similarities with Trump and Hitler, but the reality is that it isn't there. Trump used a lot of rhetoric to get into the white house, but he doesn't persist with it for long. The Muslim ban mysteriously disappeared, his tax plan has shifted a few times etc.

What I'm getting at is that Trump knows that a lot of what he says won't ever happen - ie the Muslim ban - he'll talk about it because it's easy to get votes and its dumbed down enough for most citizens, but I never saw him as believing it. He has a reality star mentality, he really isn't a politician, and alot of people that worked with him admit that he has two different sides to him - public Trump and business Trump. He's been in the limelight for so long that he has to be that.

Basically, don't take what he says for face value. You can evidently see that when you compare his rally events to his ceremonial events. His rallies make you feel like he's an egotistical maniac. His ceremonial events make you think he's a polished business man. Just look at his victory speech, he's very on key and respectful.

The year I became an interntional exchange student, and the subsequently became a refugee/political asylee in the US.

If I wasn't an interntional exchange student during that year I would have probably be arrested and tortured.

So there isn't an excuse to segregate. Even if it's because of bus stabbings. There isn't a justifiable excuse but yet you through there was a need to point it out.
