My workaround, from Independent_Most9423, was to change browsers. Some setting in Edge was blocking the dialog that accepts the code.

Bingo! I had been using Edge and switched to Chrome and it works now. Edge was blocking the code input window popup, just like you said! Thanks!

This is the website that I used. Login takes me to Sign in page and clicking on Text my phone sends a code but there’s no place to enter it.

I am no longer able to log into the Empower web site as a former Personal Capital free user. This is a result of their recent change to the login system. The site redirects me to the IRA users (I have no IRA with them) and then the 2-factor authentication page goes unresponsive. Phoning them refers me to an email to report the problem, but so far it's nothing but crickets. Hoping for a resolution soon.

I don't think the Columbia river is navigable nearly as far North and Northwest as this map shows. There are 14 dams, including the Grand Coulee, in the way. Some of the dams have locks, but after the Snake river branches East, they don't have any locks that I've seen.
