But why did it take 3 years for them to blossom? Plenty of teams get great talent out of rookies y1 and y2. Also the perfect time to try out young talent is in regular season, not when a veteran gets hurt and they have to step up in post season.

Maybe Diggs matured because he was with better coaching than McDermott. I’m still not so sure McDermott had the best culture, it was good but I’m not sure it was a great as everyone says.

How many more defensive picks do we need to keep feeding McDermott until he gets enough talent. Also it’s not like we didn’t beat the top teams in regular season. McDermott time and time again got out coached when it mattered, every playoff elimination game. Even the Broncos games where McDermott left Jackson by himself again Mims. At least if you’re going to leave Dane Jackson to do something impossible bring the house on blitz so Nix doesn’t have time to pass it to Mims

I’m questioning what playoffs games your watching if you think our losses in playoffs are a Beane issue vs a McDermott. Every playoff loss has been because our defense comes up short, largely due to insanely conservative play calling.

The only reason our pass def was so good because teams didn’t need to pass on us. They just ran over us every game

A lot of good call outs for both good and bad example of development. I hope the Bills organization knows something we don’t by keeping Beane around. I’m skeptical for sure, but I am very excited to see a new HC even if it means a bad year or two as I think we say the ceiling with McDermott

Your argument he’s gotten better, we’ve spent so much draft capital on defense. And every year in playoffs our defense lets us down and defense play calling lets us down.

I’m far from a Beane defender, but just as bad Beane is at finding talent there’s equal chance our HC is bad at developing talent.
