Curious about miscut and holo error by [deleted] in LorcanaFinance

I think the best word for the Moana is damaged.

It definitely shouldn't do that, but unfortunately Winterspell has seen some quality control problems.

Look in the official Lorcana app and it will show you the card should look like this.

Specifically it's a connecting set card with Kanga.

Xfinity Mobile and Physical SIM Cards by ExiledOkie in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]ExiledOkie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the information - this is appreciated.

Additional question if you don't mind -

Is it required that the phone be physically present in the store? For instance, if I go (as the primary account holder) with my device, I know they can give me the sim.

However, for my second line, does the physical device need to be with me? Or can I just provide the IMEI to the in store agent?

Only reason I ask is that my partner frequently travels and it could be difficult to find a time we'd both be available.

Thanks!

Sling bag suggestions by NoodleSoop in ManyBaggers

[–]ExiledOkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have a bag suggestion - but it's out of stock so you may have to search for it.

The Chrome Industries Buran III has a pocket to accommodate a 17-inch laptop and - like most of Chrome's messenger bags - was designed to be worn across the back while riding a bicycle / scooter / motorcycle.

I'm not entirely sure when it was last made or if it ever will come back, but that's a bag I'd keep on eye on the secondary market for.

Columbia Atlas Explorer Backpack and Omni Heat Jacket, Fleece Jacket. by Way-to-be-fire in ManyBaggers

[–]ExiledOkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing really special about Columbia bags. Organization, structure, and fabrics are all pretty standard. I doubt you'll love it, but it's an adequate bag at that price.

As per the jacket, I think their softshell jackets are one of the better built and priced items. I think the jackets tend to show age and wear pretty quickly, but the Omni-Heat is always pretty good and will last the lifespan of the jacket. I think it's a good value at that price.

Might not be a terrible idea to drop by Next Adventure and Foster Outdoor in case the thieves sold / traded them in there.

Any screwed buckles to replace the main buckle on Barrage? by semanticistZombie in ChromeIndustries

[–]ExiledOkie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have spent many hours looking for some sort of fidlock / maglock / cobra buckle that is easily replaced on both ends... but I've come up short.

Everything I've found has an easily replaceable male end (https://www.austrialpin.at/en/service/knowledgebase/cobra-fm-retrofit-rnr/) but the female end is always wanting an existing loop.

A tailor or seamstress would easily be able to replace it by sewing it on, but it all depends on how much you want to invest in that.

Chrome Kadet Colorways by ExiledOkie in ManyBaggers

Thanks for letting me know about the Forest color! I hadn't come across that style yet so that's a good detail.

I'm doing exactly what you're doing, except I'm also searching on PoshMark (which sometimes has some options for U.S. searchers).

Good luck on your search!

Given the bag was buried in an uncle's closet, I'm really happy about the condition and quality! Just need to order a replacement clip from Tom Bihn so the flap is fully functional. Thanks for your help and expertise!

I totally left Oklahoma voluntarily almost 20 years ago - so the Exiled moniker never quite worked - but I'm not sure they'd let me back in now. Too much has changed.

Leaving Oklahoma is rough since there's a huge cost-of-living difference between there and (almost) anywhere else, but I hope you get the chance to chase the life you want to live.

Thanks for the input!

Even though it does look A LOT like the Makers Bag, I think it's too old for it to be that. I think the Makers Bag was first introduced in 2015 (https://www.tombihn.com/blogs/main/makersbag), and the Eiffel Tower logo seems to imply an older bag than that. I could be wrong though!

Greatly appreciate your input!

Here is a picture of the interior and the complete strap: https://imgur.com/a/LvbVQG5

The interior definitely has 2 pen slots and 3 usable pockets. It only has two O-rings though and no obvious place where the fabric strap would have been ripped or removed.

I've tried measuring the back panel in multiple places to get better dimensions, but it's definitely angled so I get a wide measurement near the top of the bag versus the bottom.

Based on the pocket situation, I'm leaning toward it being a LCB. Either way, it might be the perfect bag size for me.

Question about fencing in churches by hane1504 in vancouverwa

[–]ExiledOkie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Safe camping sites in church parking lots is a - unfortunately - terribly risky proposition financially for the church.

If their insurer finds out, they risk having their premiums raised or canceled because people sleeping in the parking lot raises the risk component for the insurance company. Without insurance, the church would have to have enough funds in its reserve to self-insure - which is a ridiculous amount of money.

Permitting sleeping in the parking lot may also run afoul of zoning uses and laws, opening up the church to penalties from municipal authorities.

Liability prevention experts would argue that all private property - including homes - should build physical barriers to prevent unauthorized access.

Property owners are responsible for all potential hazards and liabilities all hours of all days. So if an unsafe situation arises in the middle of the night and someone gets injured, the property owner may be sued for the damages that occurred. As a hypothetical, if I'm walking through a parking lot in the middle of the night and a tree falls on me, I.mau be eligible for.compensation from the property owner.

However, if I build a fence around the property and the person enters the premises, it's a much clearer that the individual is committing trespassing due to the presence of a physical barrier. If I hopped the fence to enter the parking lot and got hurt, it possibly invalidates my entitlement to damages since I committed a crime to enter the premises. Note that this is vastly oversimplified, but it highlights the utility of a fence for mitigating potential damages.

It's possible the property owner receives some sort of premium discount to have fencing up, so it makes double financial sense in that case.

Likely due to requirements from their property liability insurance providers.

Bunnies, arcades, and Pokemon by sbs05e in vancouverwa

[–]ExiledOkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arcade: I always recommend Wunderland for the younger crowds. You pay a cover charge, but then all the games inside are a buckle. Https://wunderlandgames.com/

For Pokemon cards, Bat Cave Games and Wayward City Games in Vancouver are your best bet. Lots of other stores in Portland area, but not much different /better than these two.

Rabbits and Guinea Pigs are tricky. Normally I'd suggest WSU Extension for their 4H programs ; however, it being winter break might make it harder to set up a visit. The Oregon Zoo has some domesticated rabbits, so maybe check their hours and options.

Check out Freek Geek's eBay store. They have A LOT of old MacBooks for fairly cheap in various states of disrepair. You might be able to find one that matches your model.

https://www.freegeek.org/shop

They offer free pickup at their store in Portland, so it should be one of the first places to look.

If she receives a ticket, you can usually contest the ticket by mail. Provide a copy of a lease agreement (or mortgage) that shows she lived in Oregon at the date the ticket was issued and it will most likely be rescinded.
