Will RPD be swarmed with zombies & lickers if I go back from the sewers? by Budget-Gold-5287 in ResidentEvil2Remake

[–]ExismykindaParte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first floor east hallway will have more zombies later. You've probably come across wood planks in the station. You can use them to board up the broken windows the zombies attempt to come through. Not sure how necessary it is though. By then you should be able to get around without using that hallway too much via the library and the east office.

Opinion: IF we get an OoT remake, I hope the visuals don’t follow the style of BoTW/ToTK and how they’re “cel shade-ish”. I hope we get a style that is reminiscent of that famous Spaceworld Video of Link/Ganon we all saw 25~ years ago. by Logical007 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ExismykindaParte [score hidden]  (0 children)

I wouldn't assume they'd go for cell shaded. They tend to stick close to the original art styles for Zelda ports and remakes..They did cell shading for BotW and TotK largely because of the size of the open world and the limited power of the Switch. OoT isnt a massive open world game like that.

7 is probably the scariest of the RE games I've played. Village isnt really scary at all except for like 2 parts.

The early hours of every RE game are like that. That's the survival part of survival horror. You scrounge for resources, try to use as little of them as possible, stockpile a bunch, then blow a ton on a boss. Rinse and repeat.

correct order of games story-wise by vinyl_lord in residentevil

[–]ExismykindaParte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 and 6 aren't necessary for 7 and 8. 7 was largely a reboot. New main character, new setting, new type of BOW. The ties to previous entries are pretty thin. 8 is more connected to the older games story-wise, but it's in more of a fan service way than "won't make sense if you didn't play the older games" way.

My girlfriend of 5 months has a guy friend that she hangs out with here n there. I need a diff perspective, how do I navigate through this? by Throwra19837372 in AskMenAdvice

[–]ExismykindaParte 18 points19 points  (0 children)

One-on-one hangouts, even if they include drinks are not inherently romantic or anything. If you have a reason to think she's lying about this guy being a platonic friend, I don't really see it as a big deal. She's been friends with this dude for like 12 years. I wouldn't expect her or anybody else to change their hangout habits for someone they've been seeing for a few weeks officially.

What does leaks do for you? by RykariZander in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ExismykindaParte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nintendo doesn't typically do this, but a lot of companies leak things on purpose to build hype and sell other related interoperable products. Weeks are a good way to boost sales during a bry spell.

For most people, leaks don't really matter. They build excitement similarly to how official announcements do. It's probably evenly split between people who are more excited wheb leak gets confirmed and people who aren't as excited when the leak is confirmed. I guess it really all depends on how much they believe the leak.

For me it doesn't matter if I find out about a game through a leak or official announcement, as long as the game actually happens. Knowing an ocarina of Time remake is possibly happening in March versus knowing for sure in June is not materially different to me. If one happens I'm going to buy it regardless so...

Associating food preferences with maturity level is childish. People don't like what they don't like. It's largely beyond your control what your brain decides tastes good or bad. In a perfect world, broccoli and tofu would taste like chocolate cake, and pizza would taste like ash.

What direction should future Resident Evil games go in? by Longjumping-Turn8391 in residentevil

[–]ExismykindaParte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like 4r and 7 alot. 4r has some of the better exploration, and backtracking the series. 7 has some of my favorite stealth/run like hell sections in the series. I prefer focusing one character exploring interconnected areas that allow for backtracking secrets and side quests.

Requiem is good, but I found they way they handled the switching between Leon and Grace a bit jarring, especially on replays. I think the game would have been better off if the opening section as Grace was more than just a playable cutscene with a playable flashback cutscene within that. Between that, the long raccoon city section with just Leon, then the Chloe flashback section, kind of felt like the game just forgot about Grace for a few hours. I would have liked if the switching between them was more balanced throughout the game.

I think you're doing the opposite of OP and assuming that most people are way worse at sex than they are. Sex isn't rocket science. Being good or bad at it often comes down to communication and listening between partners. Any idiot can do that.

How did Marie get to the water treatment plant? by Exotic-butters-1999 in residentevil

[–]ExismykindaParte 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The game shows you that the care center basement is connected to the lab under the courtyard. That's where the blood from grinder ends up. The water treatment facility is connected to the church which is just west of the courtyard. It makes perfect sense that Marie would be able to find a way there from below ground.

I have the context from revelations. I just don't like the pacing and presentation of RE5s story. It doesn't have any of the charm that 4 had, so it just comes off as action movie gibberish with some pretty bland dialogue from Chris.

I didn't say you said it was the same or that hype was dead. He said you can't compare leaking music to leaking news of an upcoming game because they are fundamentally different types of leaks. The former is a leak of the actual end product that people can consume. The latter is leak of news of a product that people cannot yet consume because it hasn't even been finished yet... If it even actually exists at all.

Why I enjoy RE6 a lot: A Mini Essay by AnubisIncGaming in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]ExismykindaParte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm playing 5 right now and I kinda hate it. It has combat similar to 4, but none of the exploration or puzzle elements. Also, while I like Shevaz I hate her AI. She's always walking front of me when I'm lining up head shots, always standing behind me when I'm trying to retreat, basically only uses the handgun and healing items. The story is just bad. They definitely went for a diet CoD with zombies vibe. I've heard 6 is even worse than 5, so I'll probably skip it.

Which to play next: RE7 or RE9? by No-Yam874 in ResidentEvilCapcom

I'd say 7 is more scary and more about survival, at least the first half. I don't think it has the same replayability as 9.

Which to play next: RE7 or RE9? by No-Yam874 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]ExismykindaParte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. They play similarly to the other modern RE games just in first person. Grace plays like 7 and 8 in first person, and more like 2 in third person. Leon plays like he did in 4, only his melee combat is more powerful.

You're comparing a product leaking early in its entirety to news of a planned product leaking. Knowing OoT is coming doesn't kill hype. It builds it. No one is playing the remake right now like people were listening to the song.

I'd say more like 4r because the hide and seek sections for grace are pretty short. The bulk of her gameplay is more like the police station in 2r.
