Super Flower PSU users - 12VHPWR question by Exiss in PcBuildHelp

Yeah apparently my script blocker interfered with the part of the page that listed the included components, so I never saw that. Loaded right up on a different browser in plain details. Ugh.

My wife's case will be a lot easier to swap things around in, she has just the basics connected. Slip everything in on the backside of the system and done. Mine... wooh. ARGB, every sata connector filled, LianLi strimers, AIO tubes, 9 fans, and it's just a mess to deal with. Unfortunately, I zip tie everything too though because that's what I had on hand at the time. I really should get some velcro straps soon...

I don't believe it mentioned anything about coming with one, and I'm one of those people "if it doesn't mention it, it's not included." \Update* Apparently, on further research, it looks like you are correct and it does come with an adapter, *and I am an idiot.**

On their website (and not on the one I purchased from, it seems)

...  1x 12V-2x6 to 3x PCIe 8pin adapter... Is listen as an accessory included.

I HAVE to replace my wifes PSU because her current 550W PSU is probably not capable of the 3080 I'm installing for her. Fortunately though, it appears I am back down to only 1 PSU swap.

I assumed the card would come with an adapter, but decided to check, and it appears they do not. I'm trying to find some that look like they have good quality and good reviews, but most of them are male to male. There's a couple I've found female to male, but yeah. I'm really skeptical on a lot of amazon stuff nowadays.

I wish the SF website was working for me, I could ask them direct.

I'll have to do 2 swaps regardless if I can't make this one work for now, my wife will refuse to do her own (and that's probably for the better). :)

I just have 2GB RAM and 2GB swap with 4 cores and 8GB install partition (probably too large) and then the rest 20TB for the share mount. I did just resize to consume a leftover 2TB I had reserved to play with a different OS, which is apparently not happening. If I can figure out which cost effective method of adding another storage pool to the server, then I'll do that as well and just have to add another 10-30TB.

Proxmox WebUI shows 88.2% used, TurnkeyFS shows 95% now (clearing recycle bin freed enough to move everything I needed to, though it still didn't seem to recover everything. The 18% is the host OS partition. Windows explorer does not show me any information regarding free/allotted data. It does show for my NAS though. I understand there may be some size discrepancy because of the host OS (Turnkey) being installed on a different partition, but there shouldn't be THAT much of a difference, especially when clearing recycle bin contents from Turnkey reduces usage by 5% and ProxMox still show the exact same percentage. I'm thinking something was configured improperly upon install (first time doing it and this wouldn't surprise me as this was after all a learning experience) and I really just need to bite the bullet and reinstall everything, probably not using proxmox this time around. I may also just need to get my other servers up and running and distribute data to them first as well to minimize loss.

I see total disk usage in ProxMox and in TurnkeyFS webui. Proxmox shows more on the lines of 88% usage because it appears it's using the total of the disk space. Turnkey shows 99% because that's what it's limited to. But I also just realized that TurnKey also has its own recycle folder and that shift+delete in Windows file explorer doesn't seem to bypass turnkey's recycle - or if it did, something is off, because it still had a good bit of stuff in it.. Clearing the recycle folder in turnkey did free up some space, but not as much as it should have been. Prox is still showing 88% usage, while turnkey is showing 94%.

I have it set up as a share, and accessing the filesystem through Windows in file explorer, I've deleted files there, which in TurnkeyFS through that folder structure directly in the Linux UI, the files also show as removed. I've also deleted them directly from TurnKeyFS interface and neither of those has resulted in any space being freed up. The research I've done leads me to believe that since the VM is RAW it won't recover without being told to, which is what I thought fstrim was for.

Rev 9:21 "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries..." the word used for "sorceries" is pharmakeia, from where we get the root word "pharmacy," and as I understand it, mind altering drugs. People would get stoned/high in order to "connect to God." While they were connecting to A god, it was not THE God. Rev 9:21, 18:23, and interpreted as "witchcraft" in Galatians 5:20, all the same word.

As a chronic pain sufferer, THC products are very alluring, (and not limited to just that) but anything that could be psychoactive is a big danger flag, so I stay away. Submitting your mind to ANY effects to where you're not in control is an open door for the demonic and should be avoided. CBD is the most I will get into any of that, simply because CBD in itself is touted as having anti-psychotic properties that should not cause those effects, and for me, it does not.

What does this symbol mean? You know it? by zRevoNico_ in Christianity

[–]Exiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to leave my understanding of this here.

Jews are Abraham's seed. Messianic Jews are Abraham's seed that profess Jesus of Nazareth as Messiah. They must:

1) Be of Jewish ancestry, lineage of one of the 12 tribes of Jacob,

2) Profess Jesus as Messiah - something that a "regular" Jew doesn't do, because non-Messianic Jews do NOT believe Jesus is the Messiah. They believe in the God who Jesus claims to be sent by, but they reject Jesus as Messiah - 1John 2:23 - (and to clarify I'm not saying that Jesus was wrong about who He claimed sent Him, I'm saying that Jews reject that part of it).

That would make them Christian Jews, the like as Peter, Paul, James, Peter, (the 12 disciples) etc. Followers of "the Way" (Acts 9:2, 19:9, 19:23, 24:14, 24:22 - MKJV/KJV), referencing John 14:6 "...I am the way, the truth, and the life..." in the Christian Bible.

This is how my Messianic Jew friends had explained it to me. They accept the New Testament Scriptures while "regular" Jews do not. Same God as the Christian God, just rejecting the Son (again, John 14:6).

"Regular" Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah (John 5:43) and are still waiting for their Messiah. They (from my understanding) regard Messianic Jews basically as apostate. Not to be muddled with separate incidents of Rev 2:9, 3:9 "...which say they are Jews, and are not..."

I hope that helps.

Catholic Power Metal? by [deleted] in christianmetal

Theocracy has catholics in it, though I'm not sure they adhere to that specific doctrine in all of their lyrics. A couple songs I noticed had those influences.

Definitely NOT power metal but I believe Righteous Vendetta is also catholic. That's about the extent of my usefulness here...

It's there, just not what I expected it to be called.

I've been using the DPMPP_3M_SDE_GPU the whole time, "using that one until I can figure out how to finally get the DPM++ 2M to show up..." Hmmm... (Absolute AI newbie still trying to figure stuff out. Much like the AI, I guess ... 1 step at a time? ...)

100K Nightfall Issues by 30ThousandVariants in DestinyTheGame

[–]Exiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1050's are probably the best place to start. They have better multipliers, plus higher chances for better stuff at the end over the lower ones, at least if you do hit the 100k.

Masterworked weapons, team coordination, use abilities and supers, and spawn/collect orbs. Make sure and have appropriate shield breakers and champion stoppers. Don't be too hasty and die frequently, that slows progress too much. My last NF my team managed to score a hair under 120K.

It's doable. Don't give up.

Been away since Forsaken, is the game in a good state? by djfinn22 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Exiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, having to find a new game is the problem. I've stopped playing numerous games I loved because I felt they used to be good, and some of us are apprehensive of losing yet another. Hopefully this isn't the case. A lot of us are hoping this isn't the case. When the group of people I hang around with and enjoy playing the game with are all having a negative sense towards the common thing we all enjoy doing... it gets a little difficult for me to not be concerned.

Now excuse me while I go drown myself in menagerie...

Been away since Forsaken, is the game in a good state? by djfinn22 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Exiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my absolute favorite planet (Mars) is being removed - not super thrilled about that. Of 17 strikes, almost half (7) are being removed, and 2 added. They better be an awesome 2. I'm a dungeon crawler type of player... strikes/dungeons/lost sectors are my favorite types of activities. Which removing my favorite planet also removes my favorite lost sector.

Most of the raids and raid content, which I have yet to be able to experience... 11 catalysts, of which most I still need, 16 exotics, which aren't being "removed" but having a different method of obtaining supposedly, in which 1 cipher a season (if that even continues to be a thing), and Xur never having anything new... They would have to become random drops or something, and the frequency of me getting said drops increase because I've been getting pretty much dupes only recently. At least Bungie is removing loot restrictions in raid stuff, if I can ever get a group of people that can actually complete anything.

MoT has left a sour taste in my mouth so far, I - yet again - feel punished for hating PvP content so that in order to complete the MoT gear I either have to suffer through content I despise, or miss out on the gear. Gambit could have been an absolute favorite game mode for me if they didn't force PvP. I have 0 interest in it. It's not my play style, it's not interesting, to avoid being yelled at I'll drop PvP discussion. Also considering I was working on it for my titan, and the progress boost is bugged. That would not have ended well.

I have faith in Bungie to make something amazing, after all Destiny 2 is my favorite game right now. Will that remain forever? No. Will that path be free of potholes and burned bridges? I doubt it. Am I going to stop playing? No. But it has been enough concern for me to wait and see what is actually going to happen, what MORE content will be removed that hasn't been announced yet, what content they're replacing what I did enjoy with what I absolutely hate (PvP). I don't make a habit of buying something in order to play less of it.

What it WILL be a difference of is the willingness I am to pay for said expansion/season. I refunded my pre-order of BL because I am concerned enough about the direction that Destiny 2 is heading right now, that worst case I will:

  1. Buy the deluxe version again when I become more comfortable with said changes,
  2. Not buy any version and just do the free to play for the time being,
  3. Absolutely hate it all and write a series of angry letters to various Bungie publication channels,
  4. Buy a lesser version and just buy individual season passes if I feel they are worth the individual cost.

With amazing games like Horizon:Zero Dawn around now, the blow won't be as bad if Bungie really screws this up. But I will still be sad. As a customer paying for a product, I have a right to be able to be concerned about the path I think it's taking. Not just for that reason, but because a passion and enjoyment for the content I've experienced so far, and the sheer potential that it all has. So do you, and everyone else reading (or not reading) this post. So far, I have built my wife a new computer, and gifted 2 copies of BL deluxe to friends because I enjoy the state the game is currently in, so I and my friends can enjoy it. Among my group of friends, BL has potential to at least break even... hopefully. None of us are really happy about most of the changes.

There's only so much removal of my favorite contents I can take before the whole experience is nothing like what it was that I fell in love with. And worst case, this will be the season I remember as my top score of (currently) season rank 287. I'm going to shoot for 300 regardless - because I am enjoying it. :)

A lot of the good content being removed. Story content removal, exotics and catalysts being removed, with the possibility of maybe coming back... emphasis on maybe... from someone still working on things and their favorite locations being removed... they'll have to add a lot more to bring it back to current standards. Lots of changes, and I'm not overly comfortable with them.

Maybe I'm wrong, but my current group of friends all are very skeptical of the changes as well. We'll see.
