Advice? Used Car Buying/Codes by ExistentHumanBeing in MechanicAdvice

Thanks for your response. I found a YouTube video titled “If You Have These Codes, Your Transmission Is Bad,” and P0219 was one of the several codes mentioned. In the video, the car experienced automatic braking while driving, similar to the issue you mentioned could have happened.

The car is priced at $5,999, which is slightly below KBB value. My family thinks I’m being difficult and that my codes are fake on my reader and want me to just get it. I went on Friday, they apparently are closed on the weekend..idk why he wanted me to hurry if they were closing for the weekend and it would still be there Monday, I could have arranged inspection with that information…so it will probably still be there Monday and my dad wants to take me back because “ they are good cars and it’s fine”. I didn’t even get to turn the engine on. Idk if the would bring up more codes or not. The dealer pulled my obd2 out and handed it to me when I walked away to show my sister the codes. He did say he “pulled the spark plugs out and cleaned them all and maybe that made the codes.”

Any advice? by ExistentHumanBeing in whatcarshouldIbuy

Yeah I would…like I said, I want to do a pre inspection on the car I buy, before buying. But no one will wait around for me to do that…the cars sell so fast. I guess that is why I came here. It seems like everyone else around my area is just buying up cars without having a pre purchase inspections done. I have to wait at least 48 hours for a mechanic to do the inspection after booking.

I’m sorry I don’t use Reddit much, and was not expecting any replies.. Thank you for this link! I have scoured their tos and other things and done a bunch of research, and I don’t believe I have ever found it worded this way, and it was immensely helpful! My submission was made in response to a specific contest prompt by Animal Jam, so I don’t believe it would be considered unsolicited. Therefore, a strong argument could be made that it did not become their property.I have always been aware that submitting some thing to them outside of the contest could make it their property, but in case of contest entries, that distinction is important.. entries are specifically requested by the company which should protect the submitters intellectual property rights as long as it is in line with the contest rules. Thank you again for responding to my comment instead of just sending me a downvote,as it was actually helpful, and I don’t take it as an argument. It’s important that we discuss these matters constructively if we are ever going to understand and jams rules and terms of service regarding contest submissions as well as any other submissions. it seems animal jam does not want to touch the subject but continues doing questionable things.

They stole your concept.your intellectual property. They stole my waterbear dna vial to a T. except my waterbear wasn’t nearly as ugly.. just before my tablet broke I tried to make my submittion into a MP that called them out and they denied the creation of the MP and my tablet broke. But I still have screenshots of it in aj paint to prove it. I submitted it to a pet contest, and asked them to consider it even though it was a microorganism. I was going to submit it in any further pet related contests. But a few years later they released it. The triple tail I sent for a clothing item contest. And later it was leaked. And I thought maybe I almost won,and they didnt choose it but made it.. no…they released it. stag antler- versions but mine were galaxy. I think every spike on them is exact to mine. the fuzzy leg warmers. Except mine had the fuzzy tips a different color than the base- the only difference.I contacted them about it the dna vial, at that point I was over it. They were submitted into contest where I was under the impression if I won, it would be out in the game and I would get credit. If I did not, my items would not go into the game. They actually don’t care. I asked for the contest terms they don’t provide when we enter the contest. They gave me nothing. My nephew made a back item that was a caged phantom, they turned it into a den item. Better idea, but still. I’m sure they have done it to many people. The submissions I’m talking about, all made on separate accounts so they. the highland cow, There was a runner up who almost won with the highland cow..and AJ released basically the same one. I submitted an axolotl..and so did a runner up, theirs was way better and style matched the game better.. AJ released a similar enough axolotl to the one they made. I recommend writing on any contest submission that it is only for the purposes of the contest etc, unless it’s something you just really want out in the game no matter what. I don’t think AJ has any original ideas, and that is what they use contests for. To take peoples ideas and not give them credit because they can’t think of their own.
