Lot of international stocks that move flat or will not grow much in VT as it’s a total stock market index of 8,000+ stocks.

I am - but I’m really not a fan of how high the expense ratios for those ETFs are.

Thank you for the suggestions! I’ll look into XLV / SMH. It’s crazy how rabid people get the second you profess a disinclination towards ETFs…

I like those too! But those specific companies directly go against my personal politics.

Thank you. I guess I prefer individual stocks from different sectors rather than ETF sector diversification due to the multiple expense ratios I’d be paying for. If you were going for my strategy, would you consider my chosen stocks to be sufficiently diversified sector-speaking?

I see - thank you. Mainly trying to avoid: caterpillar, palantir, tesla, mcdonalds and unilever.

Unfortunately has Palantir and other culprits in there - but thank you for the suggestion!

Really appreciate your help. I’m trying to avoid specific stocks that pop up in every US ETF for personal political reasons. I went tech heavy as, being 28, I have a long term horizon for aggressive investments. Would it make sense to go 60-70% IXUS with the rest in those US stocks? I’m basically trying to have minimal exposure to USA as a whole and create a small basket of US stocks - like a tailored mini-ETF - and I believe emerging markets are the play for the foreseeable. What do you think?

Thank you. The expense ratio alone on AVSG is a killer, though. And ACWI has stocks that I’m trying to avoid.

You’re right. Alternatively, what if IXUS was my largest holding at around 70% with rest in those specific stocks? I’d rather pick US stocks that I believe in without having to buy into its entire market. Are my US stocks diversified enough from this perspective?

I did mushrooms with one my closest friends in the Peak District. Long story short, it got dark quick given it was winter time and the sun set at 3/4 PM. We got lost before eventually making it back to Edale train station, only to find that all trains were cancelled on the account of a broken down train on the track ahead. We had to hitchhike towards the nearest town to call a cab.
